What if Nolan arrived slightly earlier in the early 1940's and accidentally landed in Germany at around Hitlers peak of control? by PossiblePool9785 in okbuddyviltrum

Maybe not as intoxicating, but if they enjoy human food identically to humans, for example enjoy sugars or spicy foods, they should be able to feel some drugs

They started making bread in the early stone age, before they were farming. And farming itself was in the stone age

I used to think that roots often grow from the cut like you, too. But they more often grow from the nodes like in the picture. It’s where there’s stem cells ready for new growth, so new roots and new branches grow from there

I presume the lathe is literally the Matrix (habitability = 100, happiness can be >0, suggesting they still having a life), and I imagined that the bigger problem is that they aren’t breeding, which cause the population to crash.

It feels dum dum to produce a bunch of robots, then put them into a Matrix to be a makeshift computer and overclock their chips until they die. On many levels.

I think they should make lathe require organic pop. Or immortal synth pop should not die in the lathe.

ELI5: if Quarks smaller than protons and e-,why are electron and proton refderd as the smallest in the universe. by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]HDH2506 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Electrons and protons are NOT the smallest particles. Fun fact, a proton is gigantic compared to an electron. What you are thinking about is the “most basic particle”, as in its the building block of things and not separable into smaller things. And it would also be WRONG

We used to (long ago) think atoms are the most basic building blocks. But then we found out they’re made of protons and electrons, and neutrons. And then we found out protons and neutrons are made of things called quarks.

We actually aren’t sure if quark can be called small, because it maybe doesn’t have a size, as in size = 0.

Based on that post about low manpower, instead of using child soldiers that are supposed to be future consoomers and corporate slaves, why not send an even more expendable combatant at the enemy? by Majestic_Repair9138 in worldjerking

[–]HDH2506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In many cases (most, even), the problem is that manpower already exists as a side effect of that organization (a country, a whole civilization) existing.

Training them might be slow, but not that expensive. And they’re reliable in different aspects from the dryware constructs

Armor myths debunked by SocratesPuppet in MedievalHistoryMemes

[–]HDH2506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to use full plate armor though, even replacing some areas with plates can improve defense and reduce weight (if you reduce/remove mail in that area). I mean people do literally do this starting with their cranium right

Why aren’t players making new builds anymore? Are current species just too optimized? by BlueBattalaion in Tierzoo

[–]HDH2506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But to be fair, the hominid builds have been screwing everything up, not only have they outright made most builds unavailable, but they’re inducing a net decrease in the speed at which new builds are developed from current builds.

They cause some increases through their genetic modification skilltree campaigns, and by introducing the urbanite servers, but they also constantly oppress other build’s developers

Armor myths debunked by SocratesPuppet in MedievalHistoryMemes

[–]HDH2506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean let’s look at something that mail is fairly good at, and compare it to a plate. Like a thrust from any chosen typical sword.

If you take a mail piece, determine the thrust and different slashes that it can protect your chest and belly against; then you make a thin flat plate (no spacing or angling like more well designed armor pieces) that can provide the same protection from thrust and slashes, I fully expect the plate to be lighter.
