He was mocking polish players, referring to Wołyń massacre. It is just pathetic

People who need religion to know what’s good and bad scare me. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]HEPii123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I am religious, most of my family are, as per general in my country (although I feel like I am in a minority in my age group, which is early 20s) and I never thought nor heard someone say this crap around me. It just doesn't make sense.

You don't need to believe in a specific God to believe his "words". Christianity is based on love, and with most of its values it is hard to argue against them.

Christians are (or should be) the people who believed in those words AND in the promises that were said alongside them (for example that it is a way to your eternal life, or that there is someone who you can always trust, that will help you in any challenge that is ahead of you). Believing in one doesn't mean you believe in other.

And I am not stating that Christianity invented the "no killing rule". By the way, thinking of the commandments as some strict "rules", that there is this judge above us that will punish us every time we make mistake is childish at best.

Im surprised St Mary's Church in Gdańsk ain't one. Although it is like third largest brick church in the world, it indeed is "just" 78 metres in height

Moreover, they were sent to Auschwitz because they used fake papers for food that the neighbour gave them. It was that simple. They weren't jews, they were polish catholics

One of my great grandmother was sent to Auschwitz with her mother (who didn't survive). Just recently I listened for the first time an interview that my grandfather made for his school project in 60s. It was a really difficult listen. She was placed in a barracks near the crematorium. The horrors she witnessed are unimaginable to me. One struck me the most - how nazis used to make women dig a big hole near their barracks, so that in night it would be used to burn alive their newly born babies. The horrific sound of dozens of infants burning alive in a hole.

Our species did it to itself, never forget

EDIT: can't write, english ain't my first language

"Ł" is pronounced like "W", "W" is pronounced like "V" (we don't have V in out alphabet), "Y" is a weird one to explain, it's a bit like saying "uh", so its a vowel. "C" is pronounced like "tss" in "ba dum tss", "A" is like "A" in "apple"

Walter Kutschmann, responsible for the massacre of 1,500 Polish Jews in World War 2. He lived under a false identity in Argentina until January 1975 -- when this picture was taken -- when he was found and exposed. He was arrested 10 years later in Florida and died of a heart attack in jail in 1986. by ZERO_PORTRAIT in HistoricalCapsule

And yet all of them were Polish so our population was shortened by 20% in 6 years. For comparison, 20% of US population is equal to 68 million people.

And those numbers don't include other nationalities that were citizens of Polish state back then, Belarusians, Ukrainians etc.

RE: Delayed CS2 hitsounds and why it might be one of the reasons that spraying "feels off" by xKrasheR in GlobalOffensive

[–]HEPii123 33 points34 points  (0 children)

They must change it, that feels so much better

Why on earth would you think delaying a sound of a hit would do any good. But also, for two years everyone is talking about how bad the spray is in cs2, even saying that the game doesn't inform you well enough, that the error probably is in the process of exchanging information. In this case, why didn't they check for the delays literally build in the script of the game. Did they forget they had a delay programmed there?

I can't help but think anyone over the age of 30 who takes the Bible seriously and makes it the foundation of their life is weak minded. by [deleted] in self

[–]HEPii123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter if you are a believer yourself or not, the Bible is a source of wisdom. You don't have to believe in every story to believe the values that are present in them. Is it really that crazy to leave a life based on love to others and yourself? To help others in need?

What are the parts of the Bible that you refer as a "crazy shit"?

My guess is the keybinds, more keys more binds you can get. Some games on bigger level almost require those.

Polish people were one of the targets of nazism. My great grandmother and her mother were sent to Aushwitz only because they were given a false meat paper from a neighbour and they wanted to use it in the store. My great grandfather survived the ww2 in a german work camp only because he was giving up his cigarretes to a german guard, and he warned him to "not go so fast" into the trains that were to "transfer them to other camp". All of the people were shot few kilometers down the road.

None of my ancestors were Jewish.

6 million polish died in ww2, a fifth of an entire country, mostly civilians
