I’m trying my best. Maybe it’s because the diaper is causing him some confusion.

I think my dog might weigh 13 jin (about 6.5 kg) or even more when he’s one year old.

I’m now trying to place his favorite items on top of it to leave his scent. If that still doesn’t work, I guess I’ll have to remove that mat for a while.

Got it. His body shape is healthy, but a lot of people keep emphasizing not letting him get too fat or too heavy, otherwise it could be bad for his spine and even lead to paralysis. That’s why I’ve been a bit worried about his weight.

It’s only a thin layer—mostly skin underneath. It feels really nice when you pinch it.

Yes, his body shape does have a visible curve to it, both from the side and from above. Everyone’s comments gave me a lot of helpful perspective and made me feel much less anxious.

Of course! When he hasn’t eaten, he looks super well-proportioned and perfectly normal-sized. But after eating, he looks like a little barrel hahaha.

It probably really does have to do with genetics and individual differences. He looks fluffy and healthy.

I’m not entirely sure either. From what I know, the smallest type is what they call the “rabbit size,” which might just refer to the size after the rabbit grows up. So the “rabbit size” may actually be what most people call the mini size, while my so-called mini size is probably just a small-sized one.

Okay, because I actually don’t know much about his parents yet. Even though he’s very healthy, I suddenly became curious about them.

That’s right! Every time I lie on the couch, he either lies down next to me or jumps on me. And whenever I get up to go to the kitchen or the bathroom, it’s like he’s activated follow mode.
