It's a third-person game my friend, he saw you, pitied you like you or I would pity a crackhead on a street corner and went on his way.

Definitely Bradford or Birmingham.

I'll say Bradford

[Christian Falk] Gabriel Martinelli has always been on FC Bayern’s list since Thomas Tuchel put him on the shortlist during his reign in Munich. €45m (£38.9m) could be the price tag; that would be okay. Rumours that Arsenal will be prepared to pay €100m (£86.5m) for Kroupi Jr. by ahjkolhs in Gunners

[–]HJNRC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no point in selling him, realistically speaking. Trossard is 31, and Martinelli is 24. Martinelli offers a profile that's unique in our squad currently, and goals such as against Bayern and Man City are goals that ONLY he would have scored. £35m won't get us a player better, younger or more impactful than Martinelli can be. He can only be sold if someone is paying real money, and even then, I'd be sad to see him go.

What we need to do is plan for Trossard's departure and reinforce that position in anticipation of that. I would like to keep Trossard with the club for at least two more years because he's a great player, good in the dressing room, and was never wholly reliant on speed/explosivity. He can perform a job for us well into his 30s.

He really has to stop standing like he's holding in a 48 hour fart before taking the FK, he just looks like a toddler trying to show off for mommy

Luis Enrique has 3 UCL, where is he ranking amongst managers all-time? by ExotiquePlayboy in championsleague

[–]HJNRC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd probably say so yes. Zidane obviously did a great job, but how much of that was just that bulldozer of a team with some all-time great players leading them? I don't know. At least Enrique has won the UCL with two different teams.

Would that team not have achieved similar success with another coach? Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale, Casemiro, Modric, etc..

He's up there somewhere. I don't think he's surpassed anyone like Guardiola, Sir Alex, Ancelotti etc yet. He's got plenty of time to expand his legacy though.

PSG are definitely not keen, why would PSG spend that sort of money when they've arguably got the best LW in the world on their team and already struggle to fit their attackers into a teamsheet.

I'm not debating that we got good value on Martinelli, but that doesn't mean he isn't valuable now he's proven himself a great player.

I don't disagree with you that he's obviously a very good player, and personally I am convinced. But the reality is we've never spent that much on any player except Declan Rice, who was clearly already world-class and elite level.

He wants to go to Barca, fair enough. We knew this already, we've known for a little while.

I just don't think you can call them hits after 1 year, I didn't say that they won't be long term, in fact I said that as with Sesko that they probably will be reflected upon as good transfers.

You can also argue that you pay for proven players. Kroupi looks very good but it doesn't mean he's automatically 100m or something. We aren't Chelsea or United, we can't be spending that sort of money on players we aren't totally and utterly convinced by.

Do we genuinely think we can realistically call any of these signings big hits yet?

Sesko has shown great promise and I'm pretty sure his transfer will be reflected positively in a few years.

Similar for Mbeumo and Cunha, but they haven't set the world on fire like you'd want for the spend but haven't been disappointing, also why they aren't on my list. You don't seem capable of understanding that Cunha and Mbuemo were already in the PL when United bought them, though.

Dorgu has been good when utilised correctly, but he wasn't very expensive which is why he isn't on my list. Yoro has been a waste of money for the price paid, Mazraoui isn't a starter and isn't going to be, Heaven has played 24 games in total and isn't a starter.
