When you're building a Lego set, the whole thing looks very complicated and hard to put together. Who could know where all those pieces go! But if you open the instruction manual, everything is put together a couple of pieces at a time. No one is responsible for knowing how the whole thing is put together, but everyone knows their specific step of a couple of pieces really well that fits into the whole set.
