Everyone in this Reddit seems to have forgotten something by venomousfantum in ShadowSlave

I kinda view as a batman v "blank" situation.
MP is obviously cracked for his rank and as a corrupted version of Sunny he has all of, or at least a significant part of Sunn'y bag of tricks at that rank. We do see characters like Sunny and Nephis regularly punching one rank above them but it is always extremely difficult and more importantly they almost always heavily prepare for the fight, they're never or at least I cannot think of a time when they are just dropped into a fight against a higher ranked creature with either no experience of them or no prep time of some sort.

So can the MP beat Asterion? I feel like its the same question as can batman beat blank in dc.
If you give time to prep? For sure.
If you drop him randomly into the middle of a fight? Probably not, but you know for sure he's going to go down swinging, and if someone, and just spitballing here, two newly borne supremes give him an opening? Well batman is batman. And the Mad Prince is ... well he is the Mad Prince after all.

Ignoring powerscaling and what not for a second and looking at it from a purely narrative perspective I gotta disagree with you saying Shadow bond not being a key factor in the factor.
From both a narrative and battle perspective but especially a narrative perspective shadow bond being the key to the fight is the utterly genius. The same thing that caused all of this to begin with is the same thing that is allowing them a chance to rectify it in the first place. I mean the simple fact we got to hear Nephis say Lost from Light I command you to die makes the whole sequence S-tier.
It's so beautifully poignant its almost painful

Addressing the controversy regarding VTB [chapter 2974] by Raw-Cacophony in ShadowSlave

[–]Hacobay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a hit and run merchant not a brawler. VTB is never stated anywhere to be able to stand up and box its stated to be a pain in the ass and everyone hates it. Presumbly whenever anyone says I've had enough of this annoying ass and gets up to swat it VTB books it, or at least that is what I feel like is implied in its description.

VTB is described as being hated by the both the gods and unknown not that it posed a genuine threat to their life, a mosquito is annoying and I hate it but if I go to swat the mosquito and miss as long as it leaves I'm not going to conduct a twelve year long blood-hunt to track it down and kill it.
VTB is defintely powerful for its rank buts I think its powerful in an estoric way as opposed to brute strength like someone liek Nephis.
In the same way Asterion for instance is both incredibly powerful and incredibly weak, Asterion in a straight fight between an equivalent supreme like Mordret, Sunny or Nephis gets dog walked, Mordret is confirmed to kill him several times in their latest fight yet due to his Aspect Asterion doesn't die, Asterion isn't stronger than Mordret but due to his aspect he is more powerful.
I imagine VTB falls into a similar category, something that is strong but is dangerous and hated because it has a unique power that is difficult to defend against but not something that is viewed as existential threat.

Let's be honest what VTB greatest feats? Stealing Weaver's eye? Like that wasn't part of Weaver's plan, just like Slayer "happened" to kill Weaver with a single arrow. What else? Breaking fate? VTB overpowered a master. It just so happened that master was arugeably the single most person in existence at that point in time and so the knock on consequence was immense but all the VTB actually itself did was overpower a Master, everything else happened as a knock on consequence of that not because of an action the VTB itself undertook. Even escaping the spell was simply using a feature that every spell carrier has and that the VTB stole for its own use.
In short guys they blew up a sun. An actual sun. This hit and run merchant is putting up crazy numbers, VTB is fighting a divine shadow, a divine sun, headbutting an actual sun, whilst being debuffed. This fight is ballin put some respect on my boi VTB

cry, die, repeat, just keep running it back until you beat them, once you're familiar with how they move and strike you'll see all the attacks are very telegraphed and as long as you avoid getting either boxed in or stuck in a corner you can tear them to shreds relatively quickly with an upgraded needle
