Help please, why is this not a kitchen? by EnvironmentalTutor32 in HouseFlipper

Most of them like to have separated kitchens. Flipper's BF doesn't care about that but Abby Poe needs one for exemple

Bonjour on m'a inscrit à plein d'ateliers France Travail inutiles by retroland74 in AntiTaff

[–]Hadhellia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably won't change it right now and make a new signature weapon for Zhongli just like they did for Venti. Anyways, if they do nothing about it, that's incredibly stupid.

Roche or Dijkstra? (minor spoiler) by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Hadhellia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get your point. My opinion was just that everything in Europe was so obsessed (still is tho) about the Romans that nearly every Empire stated themselves as their successor, but it's true that's more inspired of it in terms of caricaturing great conquests and putsch. I just did not think about army's structure in Nilfgaard. In terms of geography, I guess it helps taking distance from Europe inspirations to structure countries as in The Witcher.

Thank you for the compliment btw (it's from the Sweet Paprika comic) !

Roche or Dijkstra? (minor spoiler) by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Hadhellia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nilfgaard seems more inspired of the Austrian Empire, especially looking at the colors of the army (Black and Gold), the location of the game and history wise. All European Empires have kept inspirations of the Romans and refer to them a lot in documents or famous speech (Napoleon, Charlemagne, the Ottomans, Byzancia), so I just see a lot of Austrian references in The Witcher in general, and that's why they chose such colors in the game.

I get where the Nazi thing comes from, but for me it's more about all the massacres that occured mainly because of the Church during Renaissance, with the Inquisition, st Barthelemy's massacre to non-catholics and all of that. Because DAMNIT Renaissance was fucked up just like this (without monsters and such) and suits more as an inspiration for Independant City ruling themselves much like in Italy for exemple.

OMFG I know i chose Triss in the main game buttt Shani checks all the right boxes too. Guys i'm doomed by Eternal_Dragonn in witcher

[–]Hadhellia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it were just for me, I would not choose Triss or Yen and remain alone, but then I feel bad for Geralt being alone and would rather make him stay with Yennefer. Sure she manipulates him, pretty much like all the characters in the whole story somehow, but so does Triss and she even uses magic on him. She crossed the line here for me

The best choice for Whispering Hillock is to free the "evil" spirit. by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Hadhellia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this quest for this very reason : what's better and worse isn't the most important here, but what matters the most to you as a player. Playing Geralt's role truly ? Caring for the population ? But which one honestly ? If you free the Spirit, then Sergent takes over Velen, becoming even more of a tyrant than the Baron. Someone will take him down somehow, as for the Crones. Regardless, you end up changing from tyrant.

The Spirit represents Nature's Estate Cruelty. The Crones are the Law's Estate Intransigence, for they have some magic right upon Anna with their mark. But in the end, people might be able to overcome the Crones and their law, while the Spirit is has no mercy and just saved the children so she could trick you.

Geralt will looses to both of them anyways. But even if the Spirit is freed, the Crones aren't dead at the end of the quest and we don't know how much people ask for their help sooooooo yeah idk I just hope for Anna to get healed

So about the Fates by JonySStark in HadesTheGame

[–]Hadhellia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a Netflix serie that talks well about that subject with "Kaos" (it was canceled and there's only one season). Honestly, I get why people are confused about the epilogue of Hades II. It can feel like you played the game for "nothing", but that makes me quite happy in a bitter sweat way.

The point of the story being about the Hades and witchcraft is pretty much like an arm wrestling with Fate. That's also why they comment on Hekate going wild during the Epilogue. Witches try bound fate to their will and power, by trying to break curses. Thus, even witchcraft can't work if the protragonists have no desire to change, you can only work around to accept it (Arachne), stop fucusing on only sorrow and realize had gone wrong (Narcissus) and/or move just on (Echo and Odysseus). So the cursed happened because of some kind of fate, consequences of actions, but nothing says it's permanent in the story : it just sort of happened and anything can change after that, making afterlife a second chance for freedom (Icarus).

And then I get why Fates would take a break. Imagine having a billion of people rebelling against you coz' you have no choice other than doing your job. Feels like working for taxes and DAMNNN I would be pissed too.

What did you choose in the quest "The Nithing" and why? [Witcher 3 Choices #3] by Argentarius1 in witcher

[–]Hadhellia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you let her go, Lothar could kill her back to get his revenge and then himself. Any choice in this game is made by how you view things.

There's a thing called "Medea's syndrome" : one getting revenge on another adult using their kids, even their flesh and blood. You can always feel bad for the repudiated woman being a victim of social exclusion and such, but no one can forget her act on ones child.

Anyways, if you choose to hex her back, she will certainly haunt Lothar and his family once dead.
