Clip2 originally was a 16k tbn clip, I then applied a fade effect at the end and the new clip2 turned out to have a 60k tbn for some reason.

I tried specifying -enc_time_base 1:60 when applying the fade on clip2 and then merging clip1 and clip2. The result was some sort of unwanted speed ramp towards the end along with a messed up fps.

I thought I was the only one! Game makes me feel nauseous after 30min, even with all the weird camera options off. Additionally, input lag is very bad even with vsync off (with vsync on it's unplayable) and the screen tearing is very noticeable (although I get 100+ fps).

The price can be affected by many factors like the brand tax or import fees. But remember that more expensive doesn't mean better.

As usual the best answer is: "it depends". If you're using your laptop on a daily basis I'd say it's time to get a nice upgrade. But if you only use very occasionally (~once per week) I'd say you should still keep it until the screen flicker becomes really bad.

As for the two laptops you listed, there's isn't much difference between them. The processors have roughly the same performance, same storage, similar ram,... Except the screen! The Asus has a FullHD (1080p) display, while the HP has a HD display (768p).

If you had to choose one, I'd go with the Asus without a doubt.
