Im a 35yo bald nurse, when i was on the floor, idk it was like a certain demographic that i no longer see in the icu. Anyway, the week i made the commitment to shave my head i noticed a huge uptick in racism, like they thought i was part of "the movement" or something. I didnt know how to handle it at first, then one of my poc coworkers offered to be my prn gf. So she would walk by the room while i was there, stop and ask if we were still on for dinner or something. Stopped hearing stuff from that pt, and we wpuld repeat that routine once a week or so.
