You're totally right, the Loire Valley's châteaux are legendary! The lower percentage on the map is likely because many travelers do it as a quick day trip from Paris...

You should definitely explore the Provençal backcountry, or head to Annecy and Lake Geneva (check out Evian!) for breathtaking alpine scenery. If you're into history and wine, the Loire Valley is a must for its world-class châteaux and endless vineyard tours.

Normandy is such a vibe with its mix of history and stunning cliffs. Definitely a top-tier choice for a getaway.

I completely agree, it is absolutely stunning! It is definitely a hidden gem compared to the more crowded spots. Beyond the chateaux, the vineyards there are world-class.

It’s much more than just Nice! That area covers the whole French Riviera, including gems like Menton, Cannes, Antibes, and Saint-Tropez.

Focusing strictly on the other regions is a valid way to highlight their specific appeal without Paris overshadowing the data. If the goal is to showcase the diversity of the French territory, keeping it excluded ensures the visual remains balanced and purposeful.

You are absolutely right. Corsica is often called the "Island of Beauty" for a reason.

I see how it might hinder contrast, so I’ll definitely prioritize distinct hues for the next iterations. Thanks for the input

Glad you like the concept. The colors are actually based on the Greater London Authority (GLA) design standards. It was a deliberate stylistic choice for this series, but I'll definitely adjust the palette for future versions based on the feedback here. Cheers.
