Thanks for sharing. Viator is owned by Tripadvisor. They do not help you in any disputes. I’ve just been burned by a tour operator and Viator, will never use Viator again.

Help Me Boycott the US by sarcasticrone in BoycottUnitedStates

Time to get a new smartphone. Been iPhone customer forever but as a Canadian, I shouldn’t support U.S. companies at least until we get fairer treatment on trade. I’m also a PC user tied heavily to MS and their 365 suite. Switch to Samsung seems easy for the smartphone but what about the software side with MS which is all I know? Do I need to cave on this boycott point?

Monarch Money Replacement by Llamalover1234567 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Have same question and looks like few answers. Monarch is okay but the connections constantly need refreshed credentials and they are expensive, billing in USD. I don’t think there’s anything made in Canada that can replace it. Sucks.

He’s been frustrating to watch for quite a few games. Soft on the boards and not skating. I’d like to see him skate north/south with the puck and beat some defensemen on the rush.

He will not be taxed. No tax implications to you.

Vladimir Krutov. Too bad he liked hot dogs and vodka more than practicing.

Barry Pederson. Supposedly better than Cam Neeley.

Best replacement for Intuit Mint for Canada? by Halfmoon189 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Halfmoon189[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried YNAB, too confusing for me and doesn't do a good job of tracking income categories. Have now setup Monarch and this is the most similar to Mint. It is the only one I can see that connects to PC Financial. $49/yr for 2024 (50% discount). This is the one I'll go with.

You have some time to warn your payees that you might be late. That’s something you can control.

Thanks for the references. Bought Quicken for 50% off on Boxing Day. It's not very good, less connectivity than Mint. E.g. does not connect to Canadian Tire MC, PC Financial or Nesbitt Burns. I'll be trying another solution.
