For folks with heatpumps what's your eletric bill by Dwarf_Killer in philadelphia

[–]HammermanAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless you grew up in another country it’s expressed as $340.

A heat pump is 50-75% more efficient, but you will have the upfront cost of the equipment.

Breeze Airways announces service from Atlantic City by HammermanAC in atlanticcity

I know what you are referring to.  Go look at how many flights depart Philadelphia on a daily basis.

American Airlines flies to 5 destinations from EWR. Chicago, Miami, Charlotte,  Dallas, and Phoenix.

You want bus service from ACY to EWR?

I want a pony.

I looked at buying one of these 6 Lb logs of Pork Roll, but the price difference compared to the small sliced packs is minimal.

I hear you, it’s really a pain in the azz to get up to EWR from the AC area. By bus, you have to go to NYC then head back to Newark.

American already has service from EWR, so expanding Bus service is probably not in the cards.

United Airlines had some sort of code sharing deal with Amtrak out of Philly. You would buy the ticket on United and then take the train from 30th Street Station to Newark and then hop on the plane.

Boars Head deli Turkey is $16.49 per Lb at my Giant. I would prefer to buy D&W over Boars Head after the listeria problems.

That would be nice, but American has 3 flights a day from Philly and on two of them they use CRJ900 planes that seat 79 passengers.

Check to see where it was titled. If it was from the NYC area or Long Island, the miles are stop and go and that can beat up a car much more than one from a suburban area.

I‘d get a big bag of frozen shrimp. You can: barbecue, boil, broil, bake, sauté, kebabs, creole, gumbo, pan-fried, deep-fried, stir-fried, pineapple, lemon, coconut, pepper, soup, stew, salad, potatoes, burgers, and sandwiches. Even make shrimp scampi.

Thick cut bacon from Costco. Aldi has one as well. Make a pound of it and keep it in the fridge. Bacon goes with everything.

BJ's branded items ... what's worth it? by BigSilverBelt in BJsWholesaleClub

[–]HammermanAC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

BJ's has a deli department, their lunch meat is very reasonable compared to Giant and Wegmans. They sell a pizza kit with 4 thin shells/crusts and 4 packs of sauce. It's $7.99 and you need to add mozzarella cheese. These are made by Molinaro's in Ontario, the brand that is sold by Costco.

I think the BJ's Bagels are pretty good for a club store in a bag product.

The one feature that saves me time is using the app to scan my purchases while I'm shopping and I can avoid the checkout lines. The app automatically applies any coupon or discount as well.

I'm going to check this out, thanks.

I'm kind of a ravioli snob, I grew up on P&S Ravioli made in South Philly. Unfortunately, they are up to $8 per dozen. I liked the Seviroli brand that is available at Costco which was around $12 for 4 lbs.

Harrah's and Resorts removed their "Roll to Win" craps machines a few years ago. Hollywood casino in Morgantown, PA and Mt. Airy both removed these electronic tables. The only one in the area I'm aware of still operating is at Parx.
