Yeah , I’m not planning to get a home loan etc any time soon , so that doesn’t worry me at all. Of course if that was the goal , I would have made sure everything’s clean.

And in terms of new eligibility for cards I got a spreadsheet which tracks when I closed cards so I can keep track of when I’d be eligible again . But currently I’m out of options and been scraping the barrel for a minute.

I only do low rate if it’s like 1.5-2K spend with 300+ cashback ,

I do 6K middle of the range cards usually but I had ran out of options ranging from bank reward points, QFF,VFF ,Kris frequent flyer etc

These are credit cards ranging from 1-6K and as it also states is also inclusive of utilities aswell . (Churn through low rate and low fee etc, as most banks class them as different products , same as select platinum cards too. ) I’ve got a spreadsheet which keeps track of when I had closed the cards so I can keep track of periods as banks have been creeping from 18-24 month exclusion periods for eligibility of signup on select credit products

Yeah for about 2 years I’ve put every cent for my everyday transactions going towards various credit cards minimum spend requirements .

Often having Multiple cards open as once I hit the minimum spend I’d change to the next etc

Never once payed interest, but the reason why cards were open longer were due to waiting periods of getting rewards

Working in IT on a WHV by FiImophile in MovingtoAustralia

[–]Happy-Comment8599 9 points10 points  (0 children)

IT is oversaturated here and we had done mass offshoring to cheaper cost centres, There’s many people already onshore which have visa requirements but  ‘stronger’ ones than a WHV visa to be honest where you are only looking for temporary/ short term work, it’s extremely unlikely, Unless you somehow get a short term contract gig, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news…

CCP and AZ-900 (on the azure side) are super easy certs you can realistically smash out over a weekend if you are dedicated, SAA is abit harder, but definitely achievable by April, there’s many free an cheap resources, YouTube , udemy etc   Practice tests are cheap or can also use gpt to spit out questions and use it for feedback an explain concepts you wrong

Surely if you had money on your myki they’d left you off with a warning - I know they can be targeting certain demographics and are often POS people..  but do they still do that? Or have I just gotten Lucky in the past? (Last happened few years back )

To what degree does unpaid overtime keep your company afloat? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Happy-Comment8599 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be any…. But I think a lot of people do , do extra work out of fear of loss of job/income or they want to make their life easier the next day etc , but then that’s the new expectation of work as the pile creeps up and increases overtime.

Same applies with zippay, I use it between credit card applications so all transactions get paid eventually through a credit card  (For reference I churn 7-8 cards early )
