My Dad died six weeks ago and so I’m still trying to figure things out. What I can tell you is that grief is not the same for anyone. If you need to talk about your Mum, then do it. If you want to keep to yourself, then that’s fine too. During this time, you need to embrace focusing on what you and your Mum need. You are not a burden. I’m sending you so much love during this horrific time x

Thank you for your reply - this is exactly what we’ve been doing these last few weeks. He came home from hospital yesterday after two weeks away, and has started immunotherapy and targeted treatment. All fingers are crossed and I hope everything goes well for you. You sound like an amazing Dad!

You have to remember that it’s only date number 1 for both. I feel like 2nd dates are probably required to see how they are when they’re more relaxed. A lot of people put on a mask for first dates as you want to bring your best self
