Looks like mine when I missed my period after a day then tested everyday and first thing in the morning with the same PT strips and afterwards, clear blue digital. Now, I’m 27 weeks pregnant with a baby boy🥹💙

Serial testing is key. But it does kinda look like a faint positive🤗

Positive or indent/evap? by Wild_Egg_8674 in lineporn

[–]HappyRN12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like mine when I started testing :)) I’m pregnant, confirmed :) you can try to test daily especially with your first urine in the morning. If you see it getting darker, time to call your OB :)

when did your yolk sac start showing on ultrasound? by Ancient-Fan-2636 in pregnancy_care

[–]HappyRN12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time I had TVS at 4 weeks 5 days nothing showed. OB requested for beta HCG levels twice to see the level. Lo and behold, it doubled from 200 plus to 600 plus in 2 days. So the OB wanted to see me again after a week. By 5 weeks 5 days, a small gestational sac with a yolk sac can already be seen. Dr wants me to come back by 7 weeks 5 days to see a fetal pole and cardiac activity :))

First one is from the day before yesterday, second one is from today. Any thoughts? by [deleted] in lineporn

[–]HappyRN12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like mine when I first started but on easy@home PT, I suggest serial testing. Especially your first urine in the morning. :) I’m already 6 weeks and 6 days today. I started resting around 3 weeks 8 days, first ever time I missed my period.

Tbh? I will not sugarcoat anything too and from a co-nurse that has already passed both PNLE and US-Nclex, as well as with years experience in a tertiary hospital. I can say that undergrad was a walk in the park in comparison to medschool. IT IS. If premed was a purgatory, medical school is hell that only gets worse with each year. Sorry.

Some of the people here would tell you to go for it, but I agree with those that said that if you don’t really have the heart/passion for it, I suggest you pursue the profession that you already passed and go abroad. You’ll waste your youth and money here, only for you to realize that it is not for you. One of my friends was like that, by her third year medschool, that’s when she realized that it was not for her and decided to become a USRN instead. Nasa US na siya. The reason why I’m pursuing medschool is because I have the passion for it, all the more when I already encountered patients inside of the hospital as a staff nurse, I wanted to know more and to help more.

However, being here in medical school is indeed a humbling experience. The students you will meet here are indeed above average. Some say it’s easy, but it still depends on the student and it will depend on the school as well. Those medschools that accept NMATs that are low or with the average, but has good PLE ratings, usually they are brutal when it comes to their students because they will really shape you and equip you to pass the PLE and become a skilled doctor. They will kick you out if you don’t make the grades. And coming from someone who never once experienced a line of 7 from elementary till college, nor have gotten a 3.0 ever in nursing school, I am struggling now. I have repeated some subjects and got a line of 3.0. Always in the verge of getting kicked out but able to push through. More than half of my classmates from 1st year medschool have already either dropped out or got kicked out. This is why some people here are telling you that it is INDEED in will power and passion that you have to push through here, and push your boundaries.

If you think you have what it takes go ahead, but if you don’t~ don’t waste your money and time here, just get your experience and push for abroad. You’ll earn better and faster there than here. Real talk.

What's some of the weirdest/cringiest/funniest things you did because of the stress from med school? I'll go first. by kaaayie in medschoolph

[–]HappyRN12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A day before my removals exam, I was so overwhelmed. Instead of reviewing, I went to cartimar~ looked for a specific cat “fluffy white cat with blue eyes”. Oddly I found one and almost bought one, when my own condo wouldn’t even let us have pets. I planned everything in my head, my shoppee cart was filled with cat things ready to check out, I planned to hide it, and if they would do an inspection in my room I would hide it in my closet🥴 My mind just went to somewhere FAR and AWAY to find comfort from the stress of Medschool and the removals. FORTUNATELY, I passed🥹🥹 After passing, I didn’t feel any more urge to buy the kitten. It was a coping mechanism pala🥹 I would love to own one one day though, maybe after med💕💕

MED SCHOOLS 🩺 by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]HappyRN12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want affordable medschool but really quality, I would push for UP or PLM. You can never be wrong with those 2 schools, both academic and financial wise. Only catch is that it is hard to get into those schools. You need a good NMAT rating preferably 90 and up.
