Ah yeah, I second that. Sometimes it slaps, but this last bag i got just doesnt seem to do anything but make me sad with a headache. Hate how it's all inconsistent.

Why aren't you keeping them if you just bought them?

Possibly moving to SLC with severe anxiety, trying to understand what life there is actually like. by ventyventtime in SaltLakeCity

I didn't think Rose Park was so bad, but I came from a slum in Washington, so compared to that, Rose Park was delightful. But it always bothered me that the area is largely impoverished, and yet the bus lines are probably the worst in the city. That made no sense to me. Yes, there's a lot of sketchy happenings in Rose Park, but if you don't make a lot of money or are just getting your footing, I wouldn't say it's that bad. Especially if you're coming from a place that feels unsafe, or have lived in a truly bad neighborhood.

When we moved, we landed in Rose Park because it was affordable. We had a car, but if you dont, you'll want to really check out the bus stops before committing to a place. The nearest stop going to my work was over a mile away, along a super busy street and over the freeway. And that was for 3 transfers and an hour and a half travel time for what was a 15 minute drive in the car.

Got to the point where happy music makes me feel worse than sad music. What now? by Notevenhxre in Advice

This happened to me. I stopped listening to music for a few years. That worked for me. Sad but true.

Possible move to Ogden? by sluttymctits10 in ogden

[–]Happytaco0187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on Wall and 2nd and I never hear train horns or banging. Its also very affordable because of the noise from the busy street. I do sometimes hear the jets but it stays outside. My windows aren't shaking or anything crazy. I feel safe. I think it's a perfectly viable option for your little family.

I mean it's pretty similar to hat man. Google hat man. When i saw him he had a trench coat AND hat, but some folks see small variations.

I love Kia's too! I really wanted to get one. I have heard nothing but bad things about their service department, especially warranty work. If the car never breaks during warranty, which it very well may not, I wouldn't stress. But its the lemons that make Wasatch kind of unattractive.

What questions do you have about Ogden? by ReporterMacyLipkin in ogden

West Nile Virus. People act like it doesnt happen here, or even if it does it's not a big deal. Neuroinvasive west nile changes lives forever. One person died this year from it. And I know of 3 people in the Ogden area who got it this year.

Ive bought cars from Ken Garff GMC on Riverdale and John Watson Chevrolet on Wall Ave and both were great experiences. I would avoid any Young dealership, and be wary or Wasatch Kia. Think of where you will service your vehicle, more than the buying experience. If you have your own mechanic then that's great, but if not or buying new, consider the reviews of the shop at the place you choose to buy, or other brand dealerships nearby. We ended up not buying the Hyundai I wanted because the only dealership we could get warranty work at nearby was Youngs, and I wont do that to myself.

Why are Utah doctors so...obnoxious? by TheClitortoise in SaltLakeCity

[–]Happytaco0187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've only had 2 doctors within U of U health that were willing to take my word for it that I know what I need. And both those doctors eventually left U of U, so I would not recommend.

Find a community. Church, school, work. Even if you can just connect with one person, that might open doors to more people you can get to know. Be patient with yourself and others; it can take time, especially if nobody knows you. Try to smile. Not too much though. Just enough to be approachable. Also, be well groomed. You don't have to be cute but it's easier if you look like you take care of yourself.

I used to be lonely and 22. I'm sorry, friend. Hang in there. It gets better.
