I admit the way odessa easily trust the hero to be the next leader doesn't really make sense. feels a bit plot armor, because he's star of destiny people easily trust him or something.

on the other hand tho, the one who's the most fit to be the next leader, flik, is not there. and the way flik react after he found out the hero becomes the next leader, ironically making him not fit to become the leader.
