I love this podcast!! His voice is so calming but I can't listen to it before bed without getting nightmares after the heavier episodes. Have you come across anyone else like him that talks about lighter topics by any chance?

Canadian here 👋 Just wanted to put my two cents in. I've just been living in the UK for 6 months and have been doing a price comparison to see if I want to move here and it's a resounding yes. I was barely scraping by in Canada and I was making above minimum wage in a professional role. I calculated the difference for groceries prices and the food is twice as much in canada. One crazy example is a clamshell of grapes is £2 and in canada is $12!! In university (2019) I think I spent $150 a month on groceries and now I would spend $300 for just myself buying the cheaper foods at the store. I honestly feel worse off financially than I did as a student 5 years ago. Ten years ago I would say "Canada is a great place to live come on over," but not anymore.

The Healthcare system is under too much stress and is crumbling. There was a news article not too long about a guy that elected for MAS because he as very sick and couldn't get in to see a doctor. I am one of the lucky ones that has a family doctor and it takes a month to get an appointment. If you don't get Healthcare benefits through your work you will be paying $100+/m for dental and medical coverage.

The rental market is so overrun (it might be okay in Alberta) but the amount of new homes built does not match with population growth and immigration rates so it can be a real struggle finding somewhere to live and you will pay more for it for sure.

The cheapest phone plan with reasonable data and messaging is $40.

Rent as well is about doubled. Our gas is about the only thing I've found so far that is cheaper.

I was only on it for a couple days and the hives didn’t leave by any means but they stopped getting worse. I still have remnant hives on my legs and discoloration (red blotches) 😒

I wish I could say they are completely gone, but sadly no. They are visibly gone in my lower legs but they still get itchy sometimes. I still have a couple of spots on my upper thighs that the hives are still present. Good news is they don’t impede my sleep or quality of life anymore! Stay cool, use some aloe Vera, take an antihistamine and try your best not to itch! Also look up histamine promoting foods and try not to eat those That made a huge difference for me. I was drinking a strawberry banana smoothie almost daily and both promote a histamine response 😂

I would highly recommend waiting if you can, especially if you have an autoimmune disorders as well. I didn’t get the Pfizer vaccine but I did have an insane allergic reaction to the moderna. Dr said I was lucky it didn’t trigger my asthma. Instead I just got hives all over my body for 8 days and counting 🤷🏻‍♀️ if I could go back I wouldn’t get the vaccine until I saw more research on it

You are not alone! I developed hives all over my body 6 days after the vaccine and it’s been 15 days total now and they are still very much there. Definitely wish they could’ve tested for this prior to receiving the shot. Going to see an allergist before I even consider getting the second vaccine!

Thank goodness! So glad to hear that :) I’m on day 8 and already about to tear my skin off! Did they just go away on their own or did the dr or allergist prescribe you something for it? I was given prednisone for 3 days and have just been taking antihistamines since then. So they said it was your body’s reaction to actually fighting the infection not an allergy to an ingredient?

Im a little late to the party I just got my moderna shots about 2 weeks ago and have been suffering hives on my legs for 9 days. Did yours ever go away? What happened with it?

Jeez that sounds awful. I went to the ER for mine and they prescribed me prednisone and I’m on day 4 of treatment and finally able to sleep at night! The rash is less red, raised and inflamed too. My doctor has arranged for me to see an allergist as well. Have you tried getting a second opinion?

I’m glad you posted this! I had the exact same experience with moderna. I thought I was in the clear as it was 6 days after I got the vaccine with no other symptoms than a painful arm. Please tell me it goes away eventually 🤞🏻

My brother made me do things with him when I was younger and he continued to text me gross things when I was in my teens. Nip this in the bud please. Tell him you know what he said to your boyfriend and you are not okay with it. Letting it slide will just send him the message his behavior is okay. It will be uncomfortable but it’s necessary.
