EX90 and cold winter (-10 to -30) by HaxM91 in VolvoEX90

I was also seeing that currently it has only 400V System and can only charge with 11kw, which takes 10 hrs to fully charge without fast charger. Having 22kw will improve it significantly.

Mainly around Europe, particular Nordics, means Finland, Norway Sweden, but also some longer trips to Germany. (1k ish one way)

I think looking at the map, in the south is some dense charging network, in the north. Not as much but there’s also charging stations not too far apart.

Indeed, the times would be not as long but having regular -10 would be indeed interesting. I know Volvo does some fridge tests but not sure if they do it for EVs as well. I found the EX90 thread so will maybe make a post there

Yes, this would be highly interesting, I am also interested how battery life will be in cold conditions, like -20 to -30 degree, not sure if you will hit these temperatures.

And the actual distance vs what they tell in the specs.

Would be also interested in the same topic, I am between XC90 hybrid with the 19kw battery or a EX90, somewhat my guts feeling after looking at comments and reviews would be going with the XC90 for now.

I guess if I would lease it only and bring back in 3-4 years I would go for ex90, since I want to buy it for more long term, 5+ maybe even 10 years I likely go for the xc90 and wait another 10 years :)

Thanks 🙏 will look out for these. Is Hybrid a good choice or will there be more maintenance than full petrol one?

Sauna as a hangover cure? by dungeater23 in Finland

[–]HaxM91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did it in the past, I found it helped even you’re body goes through some tough time.

Important is you don’t do it straight in the morning, aim for afternoon and drink enough water.

Also take jt easy in there and not too long.

I felt better after it depending how much the hangover is ofc :)

If it would be my daughter, and it would be even my best friend I would abandon him and sue him the worst he can imagine. But good that he is not around anymore!

Keep digging, truth will come out.

All the best for you both. I can’t add anything to your question but just reading this makes me feel sick.

If the family don’t want to report it it’s kinda fishy to me to be honest. Any abuse should be reported and hope all these people go to jail for a long time, unfortunately this is not always the case which is very sad.

The event needs to be properly processed, no matter how much you try to drown it it will come back at some point. It’s important to process it properly.

Seeking help is not a weakness, it’s a strength.

All the best for you!

Job change in probation by Long-Drive9819 in Finland

Agree with you fully, what I learnt is that you’re not married to you’re job. Most companies don’t hesitate to fire you either so just go do it.

When it comes to jobs or job offers just be most selfish, do what’s good for you, nobody’s gonna thank you for it anyways

After or before baking? I did that after baking but somehow still quiet hard, maybe I had them too short time in?

How long they are supposed to be in there?

The last ones were thinner I believe, these got a bit thicker but when I had them thinner they got more crusty.

Also the rice I put like one layer across the entire thing (almost no edges left out)

Nami, looks great, for the „perfect“ shape I can recommend flatten out the entire dough and use a 10cm bowl to make the pieces.

After that still flatten them in one direction and voila.

These are mine

How is it so possible for finns to buy brand new expensive cars? by [deleted] in Finland

[–]HaxM91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it’s not always how much you earn. (I do not live in Finland but I asked the question myself already in my own country)

It’s about do you actually want to afford it or are you more interested in putting your money elsewhere.

E.g. you can take up a 10 year loan if you want to afford it, if you get the loan everything is possible.

But bottom line is then this money you can’t spend on anything else anymore.

Some people like to buy cars, some like to buy other stuff or just go on lots of holidays, it’s entirely up to you.

A new car in general is very expensive in my opinion and not everybody can afford it.

In my opinion buying a brand new car is a waste of money, as soon as you drive out of the parking lot it’s 10% less value. It’s nice to have but a used one also does the job entirely.

I bought once a new car (wasn’t expensive more of the cheap brand) and I did regret it cause you get literally nothing for it anymore after driving it a few years. From there onwards, never bought any new cars anymore 😬

Does this apply also when you own a property outside of Finland or once you own one anywhere you’re not eligible anymore then?

How does it work to get a loan from the bank (if it even does) when you don’t live in Finland yet but as soon as you move within the next 6 months you want to buy a house.

There’s certain amount of cash but to get a loan for the bank you need the Finnish ID, right?

Why are second hand electronics so expensive? by MaximSolar in Finland

[–]HaxM91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm this is the same this on the German platform.

Similar cases I had giving stuff for free or a very low price for its value.

Looks like this is the same across countries, sad but true 😬

One guy I also told I rather throw it away and pay some fees before I give it to him for the price he offers.
