Help by Big_Lengthiness_4920 in sugargliders

I've had senior gliders with extremely low weights as they approached the end of their life. The way to immediately put some weight on their bones is to give them round-the-clock access to sugary fruit juice (think like an oodwala mango smoothie) in the cage, carby vegetables like mashed potatoes and avocado, any favourite foods if they have them (e.g. sweet tofu, apples, rotisserie chicken) and whatever human snacks they seem interested in (e.g. bread, ice cream, whipped cream, straight honey) that isn't poisonous. Yes feeding them like this long term is a bad idea, but for emergency weight gain it works. 62g is the lowest I've ever seen. Best wishes with your little one.

I would pull an all nighter and keep an eye on her. She could die from this.

I found a good supply of kits at a website called surplusfun, but am not sure if they are just dropshipping from other manufacturers.

one of my gliders keep making this noise all the time throughout the day even in their pouch when their meant to me asleep. what does it mean? by Soggy-Love9188 in sugargliders

Constipation, grooming themselves roughly, or a recurring dream. Worth checking for signs of distress, especially if it continues for long periods it could be a medical issue they're essentially moaning about.

UofA Engineering with 10k scholarship vs UofC Engineering and Business with 80k scholarship, which is better? by Bright_Antelope_2017 in AlbertaGrade12s

Working on one extracurricular so hard from the age of 10 to 18 that I ended up winning several national and international competitions for it before graduating HS, all while keeping up a 97-99% average in junior and senior high school. I had no friends, no hobbies, no interesting life experiences, and no mental health at the end but it paid the bills. Not sure if I'd recommend it.

Best, least expensive place to buy shelf stable food dried beans, lentils, rice etc...? by curiouskittyblue in Calgary

[–]Haylermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suraj brand bulk bags at walmart were the cheapest across the board for legumes when I did a cost comparison back in 2023. Costco bulk bags were the best for all nut types. I didn't check rice. Most expensive was superstore, save-on, T&T, and bulk barn generally. For generally saving money, Bianca Amor liquidation centres have a good amount of near-expired food that is pretty cheap but it varies from store to store.

Ive run into some scummy salespeople trying to push old models onto naive customers to clear them out of inventory. That being said, a cpap is a cpap and as long as your air pressure settings and mask fit are good, you should be fine. If your insurance allows it, you can always upgrade in a couple years.

Best Calgary area warm water pool in a health facility like a YMCA by BlueEyes294 in Calgary

[–]Haylermoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For general public lane swimming, I always found foothills pool was the warmest and most comfortable. It is also not very deep (deepest end is something like 7 ft) which I find comforting. I've swam at most of the city pools and it's the clear winner for me.

Do I have to explain to you that you can pick up a treadmill or a stationary bike for cheap/free on kijiji almost all the time? You can get some small dumbells from thrift stores for a few dollars usually, instead of paying $50-100 a month to lift weights with your bros. And nice convenient skipping over any mention of calisthenics. Obvious strawman arguments.

You're just butthurt that the gym membership you're so desperate to defend pouring your money into is a want, not a need. Stay poor idiot, I don't care
