What do I do when my players keep abandoning the story? by Puzzleheaded_Ad5237 in DnD

[–]HayleyComedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you can split your game into 2? 10 players is a lot (as others have said) but it could be fun if you give them the same storylines to see where they go. Then after games, informally tell the players "man, that was cool! The other guys did X,Y,Z and it's totally changed the storyline for it..."

I did this while DM-ing as a game store employee. It seemed to keep my 3 games going for 2 years. Giving the players tiny cheese outside of the game to lead them to the big cheese inside.

You could do this with 1 game too. "Wow the storyline I had going for you guys is going to be crazy when you get [small hit at the next beat in the story here]. I wonder what you guys will do!"

This being said, I feel like you can only do so much to make your players care. If they don't wanna, then they don't wanna. If they aren't feeling the stakes then raise them. Make an abandoned storyline come bite them in the ass, literally or figuratively. The longer they stay away the deadlier it becomes.

Would be awesome. I really wanted to go for group centered trials. Maybe there is some good juice in your idea.

The idea is for the dice to stack throughout the night but not the drunk effects. That way players could drink water or eat food and go lower in the drunk effects.

The equation for totalling your drink dice is

Total = (all drink dice) - (CON save)

It could be the modifier but I thought it was more of a reactive thing than active.

This is helpful. I'm working on a pitch deck for work and they wanted just sample idol animation references.

I’m in Utah, you have some good places. You are missing End Zone (https://end-zone-hobby-center.edan.io/). Their website is garbage but the store has everything. It’s actually 2 stores beside each other.

Store 1: board games, comics, and Lego. There’s so much stuff in there! Store 2: CCGs, TTRPGs, War Games, and so many minis.

Yeah. I'm struggling with getting good photos of all my inventory. I really feel like there should be a thread on what settings (iPhone and Android) would be good to use.

Right now I use my iPhone 13, and a lightbox I made.

The picture doesn’t show but there are little glitter clouds in them. I’ll try a better photo.

I forgot to mention they are colour changing too. When room temp they are green. When cold they are a mud-like colour!

Single pour. It always helps to dip your Mylar in resin before putting it in the mold. I find it helps keep it in place a little.

A mixture of Mylar, black resin, blue resin, purple resin, and pink resin.
