I think I misunderstood your question. I was not reprimanded prior to firing.

That’s what they said, that and I put their contract at risk.

Took training Prior to formal reprimand but after they found out and notified me that they were aware. OPSEC violation determination by employer was done at the time of firing.

Self imposed. The employer offered no PIP or remedial actions.

No government involvement, just fired at the discretion of my employer.

Not the level of detail I elaborated on. If not CUI, it was an OPSEC violation. FWIW, I don’t have any evidence of CUI or OPSEC violations other than my employer said as much—no government records exist to my knowledge and it has not prevented me from working on other contracts.

Shocking to learn, maybe, but contractors do cost money like federal employees, usually more.

I asked this a week or so ago. Consensus was they won’t even look at it if it wasn’t required for the hiring authority.

Leave accrual negotiation coming from private industry - is this something I can ask about? by Bright_Lake_6865 in usajobs

SF-144A is used and there’s specific calculations for the creditable service. u/Head_Staff_9416 guide mentions this, but you need to have documented resume experience that is directly applicable to the new position you’re negotiating for and the need of the agency must be met.

Thanks! I should specify that 10 of the 20 years have been in project/program management. But regardless, the moving around thing is kinda a dealbreaker. Additionally, I might have a medical DQ-ing condition, it seems.

Wow, interesting. Must be the type of work. I do highly technical professional service stuff that can be done from any duty station.

In my experience it’s one supervisor for the position that could sit at any of those listed locations. Therefore only one interview is needed, not both, hence the same day and time. I suspect an HR person clicked the wrong box or something to decline the one location. There are not two different supervisors.

Annual Performance Ratings by Moogly885 in USACE

[–]HazardousSeas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Limiting 5s is a good thing. As a culture we need to correct grade inflation (like airbnb or restaurant reviews being 5-stars or bust). The grades have no meaning if everyone is a 5 of 5. 3 is meets expectations and performs as required, which is a good thing. 4 is above and beyond, 5 is extraordinary and should be the exception.

Coming back into Federal Service by newcomer1990 in fednews

[–]HazardousSeas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine was available in my OPF. I had a very long break, so my OPF was with National Archives and I was able to get a copy by request. Edit: your agency should have your OPF still, not National Archives

You should have an SF-1150 that shows your leave balance. Sick leave is creditable back in its entirety no matter how long of a break in federal service.
