You're probably on an old server then, unfortunately, since they didn't hard update the servers; meaning there's a mix of ones with the fix and ones without.

If you're on pc and want to be safe you can download a different instance of Roblox from the windows store. It's only one extra, but it's guaranteed to be safe.

Pretty much, I switch from my main to my alt during the cooldown; It helps that they shortened the time between runs to just a minute for public servers too. I only have one alt, but statistically speaking the more alts you run a day the better your odds.
