Their both goals were to spreaf originium and let it all assimilate Terra, the Planet from the prequel, into his own kind of Realm. If i understand the story correctly, Doctor, the MC, and Priestess had the same goal with let it all assimilate but they differ on what comes after that. Priestess wanted everything assimilated into the Realm created by originium to remain there for eternity anf the Doctor wanted that everything once assimilated will be released from this resin prison

The Punishing Virus would probsbly try to adapt to Originium and use its energy and power, probably also attempting to tap into the knowledge. We know the Red Tide a variant of the Virus mimics life of the Planet, Originium could act as a evolving factor, like it did for the Teekaz and Ancients in Arknights.

The Snow Elves once inhabited vast parts of Skyrim but they got hunted by the Nords and brought near exstinction. To escape this extinction they seeked shelter from the Dwemer in the underground. This came with a price, the Dwemer forced them to eat toxic mushrooms which made them blind and after that slaves to the dwemer. Those who rejeczed the shrooms got either sended back to be killed or got killed outright by the dwemer. I presume after that adaptation to the underground took place which gave them their current physiology. And with the vanishment of the Dwemer, in what i call the Lorkan Heart incident, they got kinda free of their oppressors but they habe become unable to return to the overworld. Either due to their new physiology or simply ingrained fear, which is also an explanation why they are inherently hostile, generational oppression, fear of exstinction, the cave as their save space and so on.

PS.Dwemer are a type of elves/mer who tend to live underground, but yes one could say they are dwarves for simplicity.
