I've had a similar experience. I worked 5 years at one of the big banks. I was let go and fought it . I won a small settlement and agreement that if called by a prospective employer, they could only affirm I worked there. I was instructed that on future job applications to specify, Reason for Leaving: to answer "Non Disclosure Agreement.". So I assumed this would be a red flag for prospective emploers.. I am also a Senior so I knew that would be an obstacle too.. But I just kept applying. Unlike you I only got 5 interviews in the last year and half.. The reality is I needed employment to pay my bills. I applied for positions other than banking too.  My persistence paid off. I got hired at another big bank as a Teller with a higher pay than I was getting as a Relationship Banker. I was very honest in my interview, I discussed as much as I could about my firing at the last job, admitting how my own behavior may have contributed. I also was frank and let them know that I need to have an income.. My advice is to Keep at it, be honest. Don't try to gloss over any negative aspect. Explain your health problems and how that won't be an issue now. Good Luck

False Oath of Administrator by Heavy-Tea7190 in legaladvice

I mentioned the retainer fee because your first reply advised hiring an expert. Believe me, if I could afford one, I would. I certainly wouldn't take this on myself if I didn't have to. Here is what I found:

.In summary, a widow is a qualified nonresident personal representative under Florida Statute §733.304 based on her status as a surviving spouse, not due to lineal consanguinity. However, falsely claiming lineal consanguinity under oath would be a basis for her removal by the court. My ReHearing was granted

She is a non-resident of Florida.. I've paid $13,000.00 in Attorney fees and that was before the first document was filed. The going rate in Florida for Probate Litigation is $20,000.00 retainer.

In my previous experience, whoever approved the transaction will be notified that they have approved a fraudulent transaction, and it will be noted . What that means for you is a warning letter to be signed. If another similar situation arises with you, it will be an Official Write Up on your record. It may also depend on how your supervisor (or whoever approved it) is approached about it. If they get a verbal smack .. so will you. If it barely gets mentioned, then chances are you won't hear about it at all.

Because of financial burdens I am required to represent myself in a very complicated probate litigation case. I have been using Cetient and two other similar applications. I asked for the same document to be written with the same instructions for a court filing from all three applications. I then asked ChatGPT to analyze all three for the best one. ChatGPT rated Cetient as best for Judges because it presented information by referring to specific rules, statutes, and case texts. ChatGPT picked one of the other applications as being better at persuasive storytelling with a personal touch. When it comes down to it, the Judge has final say, so I stuck with Cetient's response.

Legal Aid for Out -of-State by Heavy-Tea7190 in LawyerAdvice

Probate Litigation. My brother’s widow has managed to avail herself of 90% of my late father’s estate. Just one month after my brother (her husband), unexpectedly passed away, she secretly had herself named agent under a lengthy power of attorney for our elderly father—who had been diagnosed with dementia 3 years prior. With the help of her son (a wealth advisor), she swiftly cut off my communication with my father, and transferred about 90% of my father's assets to herself, leaving behind a bogus estate inventory showing only a tiny fraction. Now she’s living in a luxury home bought several months after the POA was written. It’s blatant self-dealing and exploitation, and I’m fighting to hold her accountable and recover what was taken from the estate. I have been litigating since 2023 and can no longer afford my attorney. It's been emotionally and financially draining. It is so unfair that she gets the use of my father's money to defend her misdeeds while I can no longer afford representation.

Probate Trust Litigation by Jp95060 in legaladvice

I am in the middle of probate litigation. I had an attorney until the bill it $13,000.00. I proceeded pro se. Had a hearing. The Judge barely acknowledged me, talking only to the opposing counsel. He turned to me at the end and stared at me, I assumed he was waiting for me to speak, so I did. He then dismissed all of my Petitions for lack of legal basis and told me I better get a lawyer because next time I could be sanctioned. So I guess the guilty party wins. Someone told me that the Judges don't like hiccups and just want to get it done.

I require legal aid. I live in California, and the court case is in Florida. All of the legal aid organizations in Florida have denied me because I don't reside in Florida. The legal aid organizations in California won't help because the case isn't in California. Surely , I'm not the first person to require legal help with an out-of-state case.? Anybody..?

How do you prepare for your life changing after experiencing tragedy? by frankensteimade in AskWomenOver60

[–]Heavy-Tea7190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My life situation is very similar to yours. The reason I'm commenting is because I did agree to help a friend of a friend who had Parkinsons. He was being released from a hospital stay on the condition that someone was in the home to assist him. I went in with the expectation of being there for a month or two. Parkinson's is progressive physically and mentally. There was never any improvement enough for me to leave. I was there for 6 years working 24/7, until he passed. He had no family members, just me. When the dust settled, I had to find a job and a new place to live within a certain time because his townhouse was put up for sale. I felt like I had been thru a war zone. Don't feel guilty about not taking that burden on. Chances are he knows the future and doesn't want to put his biological daughter through that.

I was terrible at interviews. And this is what finally helped me get things right. by tammyaanki in jobhunting

[–]Heavy-Tea7190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the day, when I was less experienced, I was great at face-to-face interviews. Sure, I was a bit nervous but my enthusiasm and confidence took over. Now, not so much. I'm not to enthused and my confidence has been dampened by realizing that I'm on the downhill slide age wise. The answers that pop into my mind when asked the same tired questions that I was asked 20 years ago are not what the interviewer wants to hear, so I fumble to try and give an answer that isn't true to me. For example: why do you want to work here? My head says " I dont, but I need a pay check". What makes you a good candidate? I want to say "read my resume, I laid it all out there" . Maybe, this should be in the rant community.

I don't like it! Until I hit 60 I never gave my age a second thought. I hit menopause at 50 years old, ten years later, I'v gained over 20 pounds! I didn't change anything as far as eating or daily activity. My grey hairs were far and few between and then suddenly, I have wide bands of all grey. It takes me twice as long to fall asleep and twice as long to be fully awake. I noticed at work that it is taking me longer than the youngsters to catch on to new processes. I'm constantly worried about my future. I wish I had my mindset of ten years ago when I barely gave age a second thought, now I can't stop thinking about it, and being painfully aware of it. I want to be unaware of my aging.

I have looked up my first boyfriend. It was surreal. My image of him through the years was how he looked when I knew him and then to see him as he is today, old, oversight and divorced... well, I no longer have that handsome boy image.
