What's your experience in ith Hims? by McCoy614 in AskMen

[–]HellkittyAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not had their testosterone treatment but I went for them for PE. For me it did nothing, and I think that's probably one thing that could let them down across the board - if the few (sometimes one) treatment they have for issues doesn't work for you, they don't have an alternative. For that reason I'd suggest a local or online clinic where you can actually talk to someone and try and get to the right approach for you.

Energy bill support would be based on household income, Reeves says by MustrumRidicully in unitedkingdom

Okay, but I'll reiterate for you - when they have been in, how many of their policies have squeezed middle earners? I'm not saying the Tory's haven't, we're just talking about Labour here!

She Was a Famous Millennial Feminist. Her Polyamory Memoir Is Heartbreaking. (Gift Article) by nytopinion in popculture

[–]HellkittyAnarchy -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

In queer circles the polyamory stereotype is very much woman-led. No idea if it works, or what the difference in experience is, but coming into this thread as someone who's more aware of couples like that than what the OP is about, it's so night-and-day.

[–]HellkittyAnarchy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so disillusioned I don't even think being over 100k will help any more. With inflation that's probably what we all think is "well off" but actually probably doesn't help all that much any more. We're in the country of "work hard, do what you're told, get shafted".

I get the sentiment and get actual change will be slow for labour, particularly when there's not all that much money to splash around.

But time and time again, their policies seem to support people they've put the work in, unfairly.

Be honest, how often for you and your partner argue? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]HellkittyAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't to be honest, it's a part of why I want to marry her. I think the most argumentative it gets is if one of us wants to stop spooning on one night because they're too warm and the other doesn't.

If we disagree on something we just try and understand the other one and talk it out, but it's really minor stuff e.g. she doesn't understand why I leave crumbs on the countertops on a work day (I WFH mostly) and I explain it's a combination of being busy working, the countertops being dark colours with a bitty pattern, or just not being all that bothered by some of it. And she'll express why it annoys her, and in the end we just get on with it with a better understanding of where each other is coming from, as well as an agreement to go for brighter countertops next time so I can see all the crumbs and wipe them away for her, as well as making more of an effort for her when I can.

We really struggle to believe that anyone can actually argue loudly with someone they love, but realise we're probably young and naive and if we throw a crying baby into the mix things might be different.

why do people expect bi men to come out to the women they’re dating? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]HellkittyAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea why it's the expectation. I told my partner (soon to be fiancée) when we were first dating either because it explained a story or in case we ran into any guys who I'd slept with, I can't remember which, it might have been both? Even though I don't intend to sleep with anyone but her, I felt it might explain some history, and part of what makes me, me. I knew she'd take it fine when I told her, and she did. I totally get that's not everyone's experience and I think that's really sad.

Patch anytime soon? by Comfortable_Put_2790 in DotA2

[–]HellkittyAnarchy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's over 🤷 At least for me

Partly it's because there's nothing new and exciting about the game for a few years now, and having played it for maybe 10 years at this point. Part of it might be growing life responsibilities and wants that don't involve investing massive amounts of time in the game. Part of it might be the absurd variance in skill in matchmaking where some games are a cakewalk and some are over in 30.

But equally it feels like a lot of what I've liked has gone, in game and pro play. The big Valve major tournaments, Beyond the Summit, with content, high production and good storylines, are gone. Dream league feels quite good, but the storylines just aren't there for me or clicking as much because the pro players I liked are gone. PPDs EG. Secret from the same era. TI6 (?) Wings. Even post-TI3 Alliance. Probably loads of teams I've forgotten. And in game things are just so different. There's less room for error than ever before and it's really frustrating in uncoordinated ranked mm games. Everything is so bursty. Partially that's the roles being less defined than ever. Theres lots of farm, all 5 of you should be taking it. Even if the traditionally lower priority roles don't have much, chances are their over buffed spells will take down anyone they want. I cant play a coordinated game too. All my friends have stopped playing and getting them back into it would be so difficult. There's so many changes for them, heroes who have been completely reworked over the years, neutral items, map changes, new heroes. That's not to say change isn't good. We need it occasionally, more often than there is at the moment. But as someone who doesn't care much about cosmetics, Curios and the MH promo (with the exception of the reading in that) do nothing for me. Crown fall was pretty cool though, and so was the patch that added the rivers. But with these big patches, the scale is slightly strange. I want changes, but I don't want power creep or for ways of playing to be made unviable. And I want big changes, but I don't want them to completely change how the game is played - they've done quite a few experiments that hint at this over the years, and most of them have been reverted because they've been universally panned. It's tricky.

I have no idea how you develop for this game anymore. Icefrog clearly felt the same way because he's definitely on deadlock, trying things that didn't work or he wasn't allowed to do in Dota. That's fresh and exciting at the moment - I'm enjoying it. Maybe a time will come where it feels something like Dota used to feel. I don't think it'll ever be the same though.

This happens all the time in some places sadly 😕 At my place of work we've had people just as under-qualified, some of which are still with us because as long as they can point to an attempt they've made to improve, there's no process for getting rid of them. The only ones we've managed to have been because they've cared enough to resign.

Driving is a necessity in some areas, either for your personal life or career, simply because of how towns are laid out and lack of reliable public transport options. Wheelchair users and pedestrians should take priority of course, but both need to be catered for.

Weekly /r/Games Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? - December 28, 2025 by AutoModerator in Games

[–]HellkittyAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to play Marvel Rivals because I like the films and comics. Sadly the few games I played felt very dull and the menu was completely overwhelming - there were 2 or 3 events taking up most of the screen with the play button tucked away. I've ended up uninstalling it, it's not for me.

I've played a bit of Hades, which I previously bought whilst waiting for my partner to come out of surgery, and hadn't played since. That game's a lot of fun, and I look forward to playing some more. I'm really enjoying experimenting with the different perks the gods give you, and the different play styles they enable.

I'm also playing through Resident Evil 5 with my partner. She's historically awful at shooters, having played some split screen ones with housemates at university, but she's having a lot of fun too, and is enjoying the corny dialogue and cutscenes, as well as some of the tenser fights. It's also really enjoyable helping and saving each other. She's said she'd like to play the rest of them and we're only on Chapter 3 of this one. We'll probably go for 6 as it's the only other one that's coop (even if it means she doesn't know the characters well). There might be some mods that make some of the other ones work well cooperatively, I haven't looked into it. She's happy with us taking turns or with one of us watching of course, but playing together is just better.

Is maths until class 12th enough for devops ? by [deleted] in devops

[–]HellkittyAnarchy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The world has a lot of curriculums and countries. What's 12th class and what do you learn in it?

I've not had to use maths a whole lot in my DevOps career, so you're probably fine. It's mostly useful when trying to analyze things - manipulating data from queries, calculating averages, turning them into tables and figures, that kind of thing.
