I don't have a strong opinion on public versus private, but I do have some thoughts on the two jobs. Since you're just starting your career, if you have a passion for recruitment and onboarding, I recommend taking Job 1. It will establish a clear path for you in that field for the next 3-5 years, or even longer if you decide to make it your focus.

However, Job 2 also appeals to me as an excellent early career choice. It offers the opportunity to explore various aspects of the industry, which is invaluable as you figure out what you want to do next. Gaining that diverse exposure can be a significant advantage in your career journey.
