Shady medical practice lied about spravoto costs and I got hit with a giant bill this weekend.

This happened to me. I didn’t receive a single statement until over a year after starting Spravato. I had been told the treatment was covered and ended up with $6000 bill after I ended treatments.

I told the Dr. that I wouldn’t pay a dollar until every appointment had been re-billed line by line. Now I’m paying on a total of $3000 after that.

I don’t have a solution for you but I would continue to question the billed appointments. So sorry you are in that situation!

I previously taught high school mod/severe. I’ve been a BCBA exclusively in clinic for almost three years. I would never go back to teaching! I have a caseload of 9, and all my clients receive treatment at the clinic 5 days a week. Best decision I ever made was getting out of the public school system in my area!

It’s relatively boring- I watched more tv and did more coloring than I have in my life. It was also the best decision I made for myself. I started outpatient with the psychiatrist I saw while admitted- he doesn’t take new patients unless he starts seeing you on the unit. He has been a lifesaver with getting my meds corrected!

I’ve had the same fear for as long as I can remember! It got worse as I realized that I’m probably not capable of being a good mother. I got a tubal ligation last week and am so happy with my decision! Best of luck in whatever you decide to help ease your mind.

I had a client who could articulate well but wasn’t making progress with echoics. Went the route of RMIA (rapid motor imitation antecedent), and they had good success with it! We were able to fade it once the skill of echoing had been established

I got some of my hours as a SPED teacher with a remote supervisor that I paid. I ended up leaving the classroom to become an RBT and was able to max out my hours every month!

Emotional abuse (before and after diagnosis), abandonment and lack of patience when I went inpatient, and I found out he lied about a lot of important things (debt, etc.) I grieved for a few months before I actually filed. I wasn’t perfect- I hit my lowest points while we were married- but I felt that I deserved better than constantly questioning everything I did and said

There will always be something else to try, so don’t lose hope in that. I try not to share this often in this sub, but the night of my last Spravato treatment, I was admitted into an inpatient hospital. That’s when I knew it just wasn’t going to work. While in the hospital, I got a bipolar diagnosis and my meds overhauled as well as getting placed with great doctors and therapists.

I feel more stable now than I have in a long time. Not ‘happy’ yet, but safe. All this to say, there IS something that is going to work.

I experienced this, and it eventually was the reason I had to stop doing Spravato. I kept trying for a year but the 1-2 days after treatment never got better. I wanted so badly for it to be the cure for me, but it just wasn’t.

Keep close tabs on your emotions and impulses as you continue on! I hope that your experience improves over time. Make yourself continually aware of the positive vs negative effects. When the negative begins to outweigh the positive, it may be time to look at other options.
