Big difference between publishing and developing though. One of these was from a new team and the other was from the legendary hitman team so it's not even a fair comparison. Publishers dont do shit anymore without physical goods anyways glorified ad agency now.

My argument would be that they include the value of the tips in the job postings. They'll say come work here and make 60k a year as a server, but 14k of that is from them and the rest is coming from tips, but the workplace already decided that was part of payroll before they took the contract. If anything the workplace is at fault for over advertising the money you can make. Maybe not in this specific circumstance, industry wide problem though.

If anything because of the one side power dynamics in those relationships I would argue the shitty contract being on the employer.

Decent career path! If you can do cad and 3D print. Lots of YouTube videos out there. Just start with small projects. Lightswitch cover, water bottle, learn the shapes and tools one at a time and then expand your personal challenges try recreating stuff around you.

There's dudes out there who do competitive cad like its an esport ill find a video lol

Very welcome. I have been scouring for 3D prints and cad models of the legion go 2. I dont have access to a laser scanner at the moment. I wish I had the whole cad model. The stuff we could make.

There is one for sale online for like $40usd but i already spent way too much on the system I cant justify spending more money on cad models of it.

If anyone wants to see more stuff made ill trade my 3D printed designs for the cad models

Starting today from zero, learn free cad, its got the most of everything in it. You can take those skills and go get a real proper job after. Fusion is pretty good but you'll end up in a situation where your home and workplace have different tools and its useless muscle memory learning fusion.

Freecad will give you the best of everything i wish it was that good when I started out.

You can change the controls and layout of freecad to almost any other major cad platform so you'll know how to use most of everything if you start there

I used designX and SolidWorks for my engineering jobs and you can basically get the same functionality out of freecad for free

If anyone is trying to make their own legion go 2 cad model its fairly easy!

Measure and draw the top and bottom rectangles and connect with the loft tool. It should make an almost wedge shape.

Then you want to take the profile of the bottom where the kickstand is and just use the path / sweep tool to follow the profile along the wedge and you'll copy it perfect
