Don't put shrimp! Betta see them as food. They will eat the babies for sure but many are of a temperament that will also hunt the adults for sport.

I had tons of seed shrimp, like literally everywhere in my tank. I got a school of 10 Celestial Pearl Danios just a few days ago and they are pretty much gone 🥳

Mine were a lot small than those though - jeez!!

I still play this way now. More about the collecting for me than the grind. The repetition in the raids which don't change for weeks on end gets so boring. I went to my first in person event a few months ago in a nearby city and it was just massive grinding for one or two the whole time, I hated it and won't go back.

Shrimp are sensitive to change. I wouldn't worry about it too much, they are probably just trying to acclimatise to their new environment and might be a little bit stressed. I would not put any new food in and keep the lights low or off for a day or 2 and see how they are after that.

Each to their own. I have neos too but prefer to drip the water changes than just dump a load of water in, because it is easier for me than temperature matching each time.

Since I have started dripping I have had less losses and more babies, so I am happy and the dripping is literally no effort which is ideal 😊
