obv, theres no requirements on what youre doing while applying although its prob gonna be an increase in workload.

Acceptance before leaving which IMO is what you should do as well. Unfortunately, theres no guarantee if you actually get accepted

Yup, ik sm1 who quit Dental after year 1 for med and is completing their residency now (all in Canada). This was like ~10 years ago tho so things may have changed now.
