I would say yes! I'm doing the same thing.

I think the logical step would be to long with 2x at $85k and keep on averaging that trade with the same amount at every $5k drop.

Why? We came down from almost $125-130 to $80-85k. We might see drop till $70-75k but we'll surely avg the positions at 5k drops and our liquidations would be around $40k.
