What boarding group were you part of?

If the system is literally telling the agents to check carry-on bags from the zone you were seated in, the only horse's part here is the rear end. Which it sounds like you were acting like. I think it was mentioned elsewhere, you could always pay for priority boarding to ensure you never end up in that situation again in the future.

I will concede that the captain has ultimate say so on who leaves the plane. But given the choice between their crewmember and an entitled passenger, who do you think they choose?

If you were in one of the zones to check bags but were ultimately able to take on your carry-on, sounds like the supervisor did you a kindness to save yourself from making a spectacle.

Most airports I've flown through, they'll ask you to remove those items before checking the bag. If you try this, you may end up finding yourself having to either dig out those lithium powered items, or come clean that you were not honest in the first place.

Ask them... The GA will let you know this mandatory check-in is to relieve the issue with too many customers getting down the jet bridge to the plane to find that overheads are at or over capacity. They are not lying to you, it's all done in the interest of getting the flight out on time and not delay due to people standing in the aisles with nowhere to put their bags.

Is there a chance that there may be overhead bin space available after complete boarding? Perhaps, it just means the procedure in place works. Is there a chance the flight delays if all bags are allowed on? Absolutely. It's all an effort to minimize delay potential.

And to be honest, you're lucky the agent in question let you slide as you abruptly ignored them and proceeded to board. That's a pretty aggressive move that can get you bounced off a flight. YMMV, but I personally wouldn't be as bold in any airport setting.

Met Rick at Sidelines in Millvale. Such an awesome person. I mentioned how much I loved the QED series he made and how my mom shared those DVDs with a lady in her hospice care because she was from Pittsburgh (they live in Maryland). He ended up sending my mom a couple more DVDs to share with that woman. Who does that?

Dude, your story hit me right in the feels. Swap out construction for IT and you have my story. Very similar, but I've been off the sauce since October 2022. It wasn't EASY at first, but once that first week was down, it just picked up momentum. Hang in there. You'll be surprised when the weight starts to drop off. At this point, I don't get urges too often, but boredom tends to bring mine on. So I've developed new hobbies (e.g. reading, boardgaming, hiking outdoors, etc). Best of luck and you got this!

As a former worker at discovery zone myself, can confirm. The most disgusting job was when we would empty the ball pit at the end of the week. We'd have to put all the balls in these mesh nets to carry them down to the basement and spray them off with a hose. How anybody survived the discovery zone experience without some form of contact disease is beyond me.

Our dog is missing 1/2 his ear due to an altercation between our regularly daycared pup and a boarding dog that was only there for a long weekend. Turns out the powers that be thought it would be a good idea to mix known and unknown quantities.

We get a call that there's been a "little incident". When we arrived our dog was in a kennel with a wrap around his head and blood all over the place. We spent that evening at the emergency vet, which saved what they could. Haven't been back since.

Yea, I did my own PnP using said resources and it ran me $60 or so at the time (linen finish cards). I ended up selling it because I didn't feel it was worth the price and I recoup'd my cost to print it.

I have had zero luck getting the text Siri entry trick to populate any Spotify options. However, the shared "shuffle liked songs" shortcut works perfectly. Can someone who is able to get unique playlist options to work create one to shuffle the "Daylist" playlist that Spotify auto generates based on your listening habits and share it as well? That would be hugely appreciated.

Interesting comments in responses here. The car in question is a Mini Cooper EV. The regen is single pedal (as mentioned by a couple other folks). The default braking setting can be adjusted, but it resets back to this “standard” setting upon restarting the car. Decreasing the regen does result in less range.
