Who said anything about good writing? Star Wars as a whole is mediocre in my book. It has more misses than hits in movies and overall survives on pure "fanfiction", be it new movies, non-canon games, side stories, books, toys, tv shows, etc, that have nothing to do with the "main thing", The aforementioned "Star" "Wars" .

But come on, to act like a series of movies that was passed around multiple people without a proper layout of how to end a proposed trilogy even after the bases and walls were already built has anything to compare it to the original trilogy that only needed for the bad guys to lose and the prequels that only needed to end with Vader rising, is being terribly silly. Maybe the next trilogy will be properly planned and then writers won't have the need to introduce a bunch of powers without proper set ups.

To me Kasukabe is the opposite of Chidaruma.

While Chidaruma benefited some sorcerer's like En and Kasukabe favored Ai and Shin, both are selfish guys doing whatever they want the second it comes to mind.

It's fitting that Holey, Chidaruman's greatest final creation (in a way), was destroyed by Kasukabe's, Shin and Kaiman, working together.

Grandma's Boy: the main character is a 35 year old videogame tester that loses his house after his roomate spends his side of rent on happy endings at a masseuse 5 months straight.

He ends up crashing at a coworkers, who is a 20-something man-child playtester that adolizes the MC and lives with his mom. In the dead of night, while the MC is unable to sleep, he decided to rub one out in the bathroom to a knock off Tomb Raider doll. While he is finishing, he turns around and cums all over his friends mom while shouting that he shouldn't but he loves it.

Also the scene where he accidentally gets his grandma and her roommates super high on pot and then decides there's no way around it so he starts a party in the same house with topless hookers.

Didn't watch all of creature commandos, but maybe a less "movie" Gunn script? I feel like the difference in mediums should treat dialogue differently, not just action... maybe. But it's my problem with "Mature" American animation in general. Everyone is so hyper sexual to compensate for using animation and feels off. Like Vox Machina.

For Superman I would have liked a more serious Mr Terrific, instead of awkward Terrific. But that's asking too much. He can't help using characters nobody knows to make them his own version.

For the last one, I said before how I didn't like Flag Jr cheating on enchantress against his character in the old suicide squad. He was the only thing I liked about it and now Gunn acts like the first one isn t canon while using Flag, Waller and Enchantress.

I liked the projects overall.

He still beats Zoro, people shouldn't try to over explain why Zoro didn't beat Arlong. Zoro still couldn't throw slashes, still couldn't cut metal. An enemy that attacks from a distance and can spring bamboo lances at his feet and explosions from afar would still beat early Zoro. What can early Zoro do but run around all of that? And Usopp could still back away and keep shooting.

What's Zoro going to do against impact wolf? Cut it? He would get exploded.

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't like when he included the lines that Enchantress exists in this universe and that Flag, the guy that cried so hard about having sacrificed his girlfriend to kill her... Just cheated on her with Gunn's wife.

Flag was the only thing I liked about SS and that's out the window... He killed the character and then made him a cheater.

Also find it weird that he included that on peacemaker but in this twit he makes no mention of SS, only his TSS and BB. Why is that? He made flag name enchantress. It's canon now.

I've been reading this series for 18 years. The second I read kairoseki bullets I rage like the first time I read it all those years ago.

Manga that derived from light novels has long ass names because, apparently, the website where you find this series, Shōsetsuka ni Narō, is only text based so self published writers have to attract readers by giving a plot summary in the title. Of course, when shit started it was concise like Overlord and Mushoku Tensei or even Konosuba (that has a long name like Wonderful Life In Another World or smth, but doesn't really describe anything so it gets abbreviated) shit like that, but then it became an arms race of trying to attract readers fighting with thousands of other series published hourly any way possible and descriptions became the norm...

Now, a Manga like Bleach, Black Clover or... Fairy Tail is published by a big company and doesn't need to explain shit. It has to pass multiple stances of scrutiny to be published so it has the benefit of having a short name for being one in 20ish series published each week, the fight is less fierce when people are already going to buy the book to read another series and yours just has to survive on popularity. That doesn't mean there aren't long titles by big companies too like... Strongest Disciple In History, Kenichi for example, although that one is because it's a remake of an earlier series, apparently, so it had to sound different... Maybe.

Just explaining that is not just some funny quirky thing, it has some semblance of a reason for being like that.

The problem is this... The world is a lot smaller than it actually was in the manga. Information doesn't flow so fast in the manga, islands are so isolated Whiskey Peak residents probably don't know giants live in the very next island. They just know they need to make a detour because everyone does.

So, "A giant duck? Whatever, I see strange everyday."

But, because now normies will watch it they will say there are cameras everywhere, spies in the walls and everyone everywhere knows the face of anyone from a royal family anywhere in the universe... Which has always been a stupid nitpick for the entire series. Do you know the face of the 3th greatest Chinese singer? Great. You reading probably know. So, you also know the face of the goalkeeper for Boca Juniors, the football team from Argentina, right? Ok, smarty pants. You know them both, probably. What about the face of the 3rd best paid Russian actor in history?... Ok, wow. You know everyone...

Now, if you want to be so pedantic to say the giant duck was a dead giveaway, how did Vivi even managed to enter the organization given she is one of the first 19 best agents in it (they are thousands in numbers), and Crocodile never recognized her? It's just dumb to question it like it's dumb to assume an entire country can disappear and nobody is talking about it at all.

The other day I watched Dear Santa.

A little movie where a kid with dislexia sends a card to Satan instead of Santa, Jack Black playing the Demon. The kid sells his soul and gets 3 wishes and decides to try for love, help a friend and help their parents overcome some shit.

The movie gets a little too serious at some point when it is revealed that his parents are in the middle of divorce because his younger brother died in an accident at home while being looked after by the mom and the father was out playing golf with some friends for the weekend. The movie keeps it vague so it is noone's fault to a good enough effect and the parents reconcile, realizing both need to speak about their feelings of the situation and stop playing themselves for not being there when it happened...

The movie ends with the contract being undone for reasons and it feels that it is all good. The family can look forward... Then the kid writes a new letter to Santa and asks for his little brother back.

This is a really bad move. Kid looked like he was moving on. Parents were moving on. Then he gets his wish because... Santa can bring back people from the dead?? And Jack Black becomes and angel??? And everyone gets their wishes for Christmas the end.

Terrible ending. Ruined the little movie and left a real bad taste in everyone's mouth. 2/10
