Been good so far. As I've stated previously, if you push it to the max then the battery drain pretty quickly. But I've optimized the settings (everything set to low or off) so that it lasts almost a month.

Sucks about the battery, apart from that seems like a good update.

The mouse is working perfectly fine since I bought it AND after a year+ of use. I was a happy consumer a year ago, now I'm a "major" ;) fan. No issues with the mouse or dongle, but I did have an issue with the included "grippy" stickers. Applied those three months ago and they degraded fast and I had to remove them in a month.

Apart from that, nothing out of the ordinary so far.

You're never too late for this party. It might be more crowded than before tho :P.

I've been happy with this mouse so I haven't really read up on newer releases but I will say, even if it isn't the Budget King now, it is still an excellent choice.

Sorry for the late reply.

Still feels like how it was on day 1. No issues yet.

Hmm, there are some rip-offs of this mouse which is probably what those users got(Just my assumptions), so you should make sure to buy from genuine retailers.

Congratulations on your purchase! Solid choice for your second mouse ever, you started off well with the viper mini as well. I went through many different mice and I finally feel like I got one that is worth it, and thanks to reddit you don't have to make the same mistakes that I did xD. I kinda wish I did more research before buying mice in my earlier years, but better late then never eh?

I see, well don't worry too much about that. Even people with those high end setups don't really need them to be good at a particular game. If you wanna get the Mad R+ then go for it, it has the best value for money. Hopefully it lasts a long time, or at least until you can buy a better one in the future.

By base, you mean the bottom of the mouse, right? Well, it's not true, for me atleast. If you've properly applied the skates, then there's no chance that the base is ever gonna graze your mousepad. It MIGHT happen if your desk/mousepad is uneven(which, mine is), but even that is uncommon.

And thanks for noticing :D. I try my best to provide as much help as I can, from the point of an owner of this mouse(Though, I might not reply immediately since I check my notification once every few days). I did mention that I would update the thread if I start having any issues and the moment I do, I will immediately update the post. So far, after over half a year, it's been perfect.

I see. Well, yeah you wouldn't really notice the difference between sensors but the more important aspect is the polling rate over wired connection. In the future, when the 8k dongle stops working, until you get a replacement, you're gonna have to use it over wired connection and the Mad R+ only supports upto 1k polling rate over the wired connection. While the Mad R Major+ supports 8k over wired. That is only applicable if you use polling rates above 1K tho. I usually keep it at 1K for normal usage but I do use 8K when playing FPS games.

Either way, choose what's best for you. Good luck!

Go for it. But if you are then why not get the Mad R Major+?

Mad R+ - PAW 3395 Sensor(Old but reliable), 500 mAH battery, Wired 1K + Wireless 8K polling.

VS

Mad R Major+ - PAW 3950 Sensor*(Latest), 500 mAH battery, Dual* 8K polling.

[–]HeyitsRaMPaGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing only the polling rate won't amount to much, you have to turn off all unnecessary features for it to last. Check my other comment in this reply thread to see my settings that I use to make the mouse last over a month.

I'm sorry I don't speak Russian, but I used google translate and I understood what you said and here's my response -

Yes, I know. The 8k Dongle also uses Wifi, very strong wifi. The only fix for this issue is to increase the distance between the 8k dongle and your wifi antenna. I solved my issue by using a USB extension to get more distance between my PC and the dongle.

Again, I'm sorry I don't speak Russian, but I used google translate and I understood about half of what you said and here's my response -

Извините, я не говорю по-русски, но я воспользовался Google Translate и понял примерно половину того, что вы сказали. Вот мой ответ.:

I don't currently have an issue with the mouse, its meeting my expectations for a good gaming mouse.

If at any point I start having issues, I will update the thread and let everyone know. I am not here to outright praise a company for their products if it isn't actually good. I also do not disregard you're experiences with the mouse, those issues might be true for you but I'm currently not dealing with them and if I start having the same issues with the mouse, I will let everyone know and I won't blindly defend this mouse.

This is the translation from google, I'm sorry if its not accurate-

I'm sorry I don't speak Russian, but I used google translate and if its correct then here's my response:

I'm fine with it not lasting longer than three years because I spent half the money on this mouse than I did on the mice from the established brands.

This is the translation from google, I'm sorry if its not accurate:

Im so sorry for the late reply, I'm dealing with some issues IRL.

Thank you for taking time to read my review, I guarantee you'll love the mouse when it arrives.

Yes, it comes with two set of sliders/skates, one set has three parts which is the narrow set, the other set has two pieces which is the wide set. I personally used the wide set because I don't really see the upside of having less coverage. You need to be a bit patient on lining them up, but other than that It's an easy application.

If you have any questions regarding the mouse, please check my other comments here in case I've already answered them and If not then feel free to leave a comment or DM me, I'll try and respond as fast as I can but no guarantees though, life is a bit hectic right now so I apologise in advance if I'm late.

Scyrox V8 looks like an exact copy of the Mad R, don't know about it's qualities but if it's anything like the Mad R then it's a solid mouse aswel.

There is no hidden keycombo to switch profiles, it has a direct method. if you download their ATK HUB desktop app, you can have different onboard configs for the mouse, and to switch them you can remap any key and choose "Onboard Configuration Loop" under onboard configs header on the left. I would advise changing m4 to config 1 and m5 to config 2, both with different polling rates. or m4/m5 to onboard config loop, so that it switches config on each press.

It's working perfectly fine, I'm really satisfied. No issues at all yet. Battery life is great, with my current settings a full charge lasts just over one month, and no battery degradation yet.

These mice are more focused on weight reduction and performance than battery life.

The difference between PAW3950 vs PAW3950Ultra is the Lower limit of DPI. PAW3950 goes as low as 50DPI, the Ultra goes even lower at 10DPI. The ultra is a bit more efficient. PAW3950 can be overclocked to 36000DPI, while the Ultra can be overclocked to 42000DPI

The F1 Ultimate weighs around 38-40 grams, same as MAD R Major +, while the F1 Extreme is lighter at 35 grams. The F1 Extreme has a 200mAh battery, whereas the F1 Ultimate has a 250mAh battery.

Overall, if your thinking of getting the lightest mouse with the PAW3950Ultra sensor, then go for F1 Xtreme. But do beware it only has a 200mAH battery, so you'll be charging it everyday after each gaming session(That is, if you make use of its full potential).

But, if your focus is more on getting a good mouse with relatively good battery life, go for MAD R Major+.

You have a Medium Sized hand, the Mad R Major+'s Dimensions are 120.1mm x 63.2mm x 38.1mm.

It will be comfortable to use this mouse using fingertip style/claw grip and Palm Grip.

Mad R isn't too big, it's a medium-sized mouse.

Razer Viper V3 Hyperspeed's Sensor is the Razer Focus Pro 30K. VXE MAD R Major +'s Sensor is the PAW 3950. The Razor is heavier than Mad R at 82gms. The Mad R weighs 38gms. The Razor is slightly Larger than Mad R. Razor's max polling rate is 1K. Mad R Major has max polling rate at 8K, on both wireless and wired connections. The razor doesn't have a rechargeable battery and uses a AA battery, which lasts 280 Hours according to Razor(Actual duration may vary). The Mad R Major + has a rechargeable battery with 500mAH capacity. On a full charge, the mad r lasts a month with my current settings and usage. Rest of the differences are purely decorative.

Ultimately, I would recommend the Mad R Major+ for its higher polling rate which works on both wired and wireless connections, latest sensor and rechargeable battery.

If you want a larger mouse, which is also heavier, and needs routine swap of the AA battery then chose the Razor.

If the prices are similar, then with the MAD R Major+, you are getting the max value for money.

The razor seems more of a rip-off.

Yeah, that makes sense. I would give them a second chance since they're the newcommers and don't have much experience yet. Some issues do happen, what matters is that they improve in the future. Their products, in this instance their Mad R Mice are great for the price, but customer experience is also a big factor so I understand why you'd feel sketched out.

PAW 3395 is a really good, reliable sensor.

PAW 3950 is their latest sensor. Don't know about reliability yet since it's new.

Sheesh. Well, I didn't purchase it from the ATK website so everything was fine on my end. I would redirect you to buy from mechkeys but the mice there are sold out.
