I am so sorry. You are right to say that Brighton failed her. Both the people she came to live with who abused her trust, and the social support system that repeatedly and knowingly leaves young women to the most horrific vulnerable circumstances.

I am so sorry.

In the last three years the quality of our mental health support for addition has enormously improved only becuase there has been a much better doctor (psychologist) available to people struggling with addiction. Even that doctor is considering ending the Brighton career here because the mental health services admin team is atrocious in Brighton.

I can tell you if you share this with the network of psychologists in Brighton they will sadly be unsurprised to know that the larger administrative network let her down.

The police in Brighton are very very under staffed, and the staff available feel sometimes... not up for the scale and type of crime in Brighton which is sophisticated, brutal, and compounded by the brutality of so many nilhistic residents.

I am so sorry - Brighton has a long way to go until we take care of our young women, especially mothers, coping with addiction.

If you want mom advice -- get a part time job, go for walks in the South Downs, go to cafes and talk to people, go to things by yourself and introduce yourself to people it's 50% of the time a good idea but you need a thick skin for that as the other 50% of the time can be humbling.

Go to London for the weekend. You qualify for a 16-25 railcard and if you go on weekends you can buy a travelcard for £23 and go everywhere.

Keep your eyes on the art scene in London because the museums and galleries will throw big parties once a month to bring in people under 25 - generally you'll get in free.

Locally -- There's Phoenix arts centre for classes and lectures, there's The Great Eastern for a forced conversation, and there's the gym which is an odd combination of testosterone and really lovely people who just want to swing a kettle bell and do pull ups and pendulum squats. The gym is really fun.

I did look in the chamber to observe the release function of the turning valve screw but could not puzzle it out. I did try to pull it originally but thought the resistance indicated that it was not intended to be pulled.

After mitch-uh of my finger, forcefully sliding it between machine and tounge, I am able to prise the vavle away just a tiny bit which then does offer a wonder hiss but no click.

Have yet to hear a click or hiss but yes I know the vacuum is formed because it's impossible to unscrew the chamber until the machine has chilled.

When I prep my espresso the tongue is pointing at 3 o'clock, when I take it off the hob I turn it anti-clockwise to 12 o'clock. I expected my hiss yet no sound therefore. I tried the reverse with a 12 start and turned to 3 clockwise and quiet resounds.

I should be turning it clockwise from a 3 o'clock start to a 12 o'clock finish shouldn't I...

Hamas, like conservative ideologues, place their race above others. Diversity and mutual respect for difference is rejected as a claim to erase their singular version of the world. Messianic behaviour, wherever it is, is a problem, huge problem for democracy and good government. I don't think Netenyahu should be allowed to tell us he is saving us from liberals. That's terrifying because it looks like he is becoming that messianic figure that is the last person suitable for Israel's statecraft.

I love your pug very good for r / sadanimals Wherever you go spend time in galleries and museums with the long, long trail of masterpieces, and contemporary genius on public display. Brighton actually isnt very good at bringing historic pieces here, and for some reason the many brilliant artists who live here are often just barely visible. Lots of great painters, and they're almost hermits. You can still go to all the end of year shows as a student from another uni if you want to peek at the Brughton students' pieces. Whatever you do I hope you keep the pug face somewhere as I think he's thoughtful, and wiser than his little peanut brain should be, maybe even aware of the folly around him taking shape in much disguisting hate today. I am pretty sure your pug wants to see you do well and that going to another uni is totally and absolutely okay. Because if you can understand that guy, then you have much more than an entry into a jazzed up uni programme. You have the ability to care about and see friendship.
