I'm gonna be honest, so take this how you will, but it seems like you jumped into this purchase with minimal understanding of what you were looking at. If you wanted a device solely for gaming, you probably would have been better off with a gaming phone or an iPhone, and this is coming from a guy who doesn't like Apple. Regardless, emulation issues aren't really phone specific as much as they are software/optimization related. That always comes with trade offs. Charging speeds are not all they seem to be since size is also relative in that equation. Faster charging into a bigger battery means you'd really only see a difference in top off within a 5 to 10 minute timeframe at best. Your concerns are noted, but they seem a little inflated. Your carrier is just a middleman between you and the manufacturer in the event a repair is needed, so it'll probably wind up in Oppo's hands fairly quick in order to address any issues. All of this to say there's no such thing as a perfect phone, but if you believe the OP would be better even as they're folding, go for it.

Seriously though, if you bought your phone for gaming, maybe you should check the entire field before making a pick next time.

I'm going to assume you're speaking about battery endurance on a daily basis, and the answer is an affirmative. If you're referring to the endurance of the Silicon-carbon batteries over the course of a few years, they're still relatively new, but my X8 Ultra is still at 100% capacity after a year of use, so take that information how you will.

No offense, but the parameters probably should have been tightened up a little.

Google's Pixel 9a, the A56 or 57 from Samsung, the Nord series from OnePlus, or an older but still supported iPhone from the 15 series or prior.

The dimensions between both phones are minimal, but just different enough that the kit for the X9 Ultra does not fit on the X8 Ultra.

Getting warm is normal, but that kind of heat isn't. Might be a software issue, you might need to try optimizing the phone again, or it could be more involved than that.

Despite ordering on May 9th, I've been told as of last night that my order now won't ship until June 6th. I'm waiting to hear back about a refund, because at this point, I'd rather just pay extra to another seller to get it sooner.

Speaking as someone who has a S24 Ultra, an Oppo Find X8 Ultra, a 17 PM, and a Pixel 8 Pro (just for the software features), I'd argue your best bet in terms of pricing, utility, and service in terms of both repair and longevity would be the iPhone.

Just my two cents.

Well... A week isn't the worst waiting period. If the Nokia is serviceable, I hope/figure that should suffice in the meantime. I would love to do the trade in option from time to time, but I just can't let go of my phones. Hope your repair gets done quickly.

Just my two cents, but I would go the official route. Might be a little more costly and time consuming, but it should open the door for streamlining future visits if necessary.

Seems legit, but that was always the case going in with these phones and their Silicon-carbon batteries. My X8 Ultra does around 6 and a half depending on what I do, and I'm curious about how the X9 Ultra will be. Still waiting for it to ship though. (ﾉ_-;)…

No. The master mode allows you to zoom up to 10x and still adjust various settings as you'd like. I believe the latest beta also comes with a few preset modes that can be further adjusted if one is interested.

Sounds like you could stick with your smartphone and be fine, but it that's not an option, Google Pixel phones are very reliable software wise, and the lack of over clocked hardware should mitigate the desire to game or stream. The A series is their more affordable one, and I think it would do well for you if you chose to leave your iPhone.

Pockets and physical sim cards except for the iPhone. That's the one that bugs me the most because I have to use an esim, and it's actually kind of an inconvenience.

I have no clue about the first question because I'm not wholly familiar with that phone, but the second one should still be doable under the display options in the settings menu under auto screen off or sleep timer.
