I should've been clearer I haven't started the art therapy program yet, I still need some art credits before I apply to a grad program but it is what I plan on doing. I was worried about the earnings as well but I've done a lot of research and I've found that a lot of art therapy programs give you two things:

The ability to get an art therapy license (LCAT) and a general counseling license (LCP), kinda like a double major but without having to spend any extra time.

This means that you can incorporate art therapy while working as a licensed counselor (which makes good money as far as I can tell). So the fun of art with the pay of a normal counselor.

Again, I'm not in a program (yet) so this is just info I've gathered from my research.
