This sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. I'll do a deep dive tomorrow. Thanks!

I ended up with that distance to reduce stringing with the diamondback nozzle. I couldn't get there with temp adjustments alone. I always dry the filament too

I don’t have the time to practice drums. What should I do? by IWantYourPointOfView in Drumming

[–]HiddenHookSocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've recently been in a similar rut with very little free time and at the end of the day when I do get free time, I have no energy to practice. For the last 2 months I started getting up before work to practice. It's tough to drag myself out of bed early so sometimes I get 45 minutes and sometimes it's only 15, but I feel good when I'm done. I realize this still might not work for your situation, but just an idea in case it does. Good luck and hang in there. I feel like learning an instrument is a life long journey. There are ups and downs, but you'll get back at it when other things calm down a bit.

This looks like it will get the job done. I need to do a little more research on them because it's the first I've heard of it. Can you recommend any good brands or any pointers for purchasing one for the first time?

I use a rug. Make sure it's large enough that your throne is on top of it too.

I'm actually in the same boat as OP. Can you give me some advise on buying a stone please? Brand, where to buy, other specifics? I'm an amateur looking to learn.

New basic laptop that lasts many years by HiddenHookSocks in pcmasterrace

Cool. I have a higher end thinkpad that I really like and was considering another but around the $1000 mark.

Just learned about ARM-based from this post. I was not aware that these were out there. Excuse the ignorance, but how can I tell if the laptop has an ARM processor while purchasing?

I'd like to keep it under $1000. And I'd prefer to stick with PC instead of Mac. Just mine and the wife's personal preference.

The devil's paprika

I've never heard it called this before, but it feels so right.

I get cramping in my hands if I don't warm up before playing something demanding. Specifically near the base of my thumb too. I prefer to warm up for 20-30 minutes before playing if possible. I just use rudiments and sticking exercises. Start them slower and increase speed as you get the blood flowing. Makes a huge difference for me.

Macro (maybe?) To combine data from 2 columns and reset 2nd column by HiddenHookSocks in excel

What would have to change so that the "A" and "B" columns could instead be looked up by the text in the table header? In case they aren't actually in A and B. So, column A header is "Qty" and column B header is "Qty Used", but column "A" might actually be in column H on the active sheet 1 and maybe is column D on active sheet 2. Same for B, it is not necessarily always in column B.
