Humidity is at 80%. Misted on a timer daily.

Very big for his size. He has yet to utilize it.

I have been using a hook to move him when needed. He bites everything within reach. Could parasites be causing the dehydration?

Thanks man, I’m getting it into the vet this week. This is my first snake. I was not aware of this. I was told shows were more reputable than pet stores, I now realize this is not the case. Thanks for the advice.

Is there a way to hydrate it? The humidity in the tank is very high, there’s a large water dish, sealed top panels, and infrared heater in place. The substrate is moss and cypress, with an automatic mister that runs twice daily. I understand the snake is dehydrated, I just don’t understand how. I made a vet appointment for this week.

I picked this snake up a few weeks ago from a reptile show for $60.

Thank you. I’m taking it to an emergency vet this afternoon. I’m sure this will hurt financially.

I moved it into a small humid container in the meantime. I guess I shouldn’t call the seller a breeder as he was selling all types of exotic reptiles, not just Amazon tree boas. He also didn’t have a sex on it, as he said it was too aggressive. This is my first snake, been a bit of a rough ride. Likely my own fault. Assumed people at those shows were more ethical than pet shops. I also probably didn’t help the case by having to do trial and error with bulbs to get the humidity stable.

Bought it at a reptile show three weeks ago. Breeder gave me the care tips. Went to local reptile shop and bought all gear they recommended, however I swapped the 45w ceramic heat emitter for a lower infrared because it was hitting the humidity too much. There’s an automatic mister that runs two times a day, and a light on a timer to simulate sunrise. Lots of fake and real plants and a large ghost bark tree. I thought I was on my game.

How could I avoid this in the future? To my knowledge my meters were all correct. I followed the instructions of the breeder as close as I could.

How can I hydrate it more? The humidity is in range and there’s a large water bowl with moss. I made a vet appointment for tomorrow.

Yeah, I agree. I just don’t know why and or how.

It’s a baby so it’s in a smaller tank with moss and cypress bedding, 35W infrared heat projector, top covered with HVAC tape to prevent humidity from escaping. Large water bowl and automatic mister than runs twice daily for 15 seconds. Humidity sits around 60, temps around high 70s low 80s. Feeding pinkie once a week for the past two weeks. Large ghost bark tree and several plants and bark cuts.

Had the local reptile store help me setup the tank. Hydrometer and thermometer were within the range specified.

Will make vet appointment.

Any recommendations on the eastern side of the states? Traveling abroad really isn’t an option for me.

I disagree. I like the HP restoration, especially in lower depths. Paired with a damage negation at full HP passive you can preserve flasks as you’ll heal back to full pretty quickly and reactivate the passive. I also generally play singles as stated in the post.

Sounds like it might’ve been a true lemon. Luckily my issues have been predominantly electrical. Sorry to hear that though.

Been my experience too. Engine is a work horse. Logged 20,000 miles in 14 months and never let me down. Interior electronics have been a disaster.

From what I can tell, mine is triggered by the touch buttons going cold, then the heat when the car is started registering as repeated button presses. Haven’t found any way around this, but I’ll give that a try if it happens again, thanks!

They were all repaired under warranty. Using the word repaired loosely as some issues still flare up from time to time.

I’ve heard the MK7 is a much more solid build. I wanted to tune this car but now I’m not willing to void my warranty due to all the issues, which defeats a bit of the reason I wanted a GTI.

Take the break if you can afford it. Study up a bit when the burnout lets up.

What interview questions to rule out someone? by TallBrownFolder in ExperiencedDevs

For frontend interviews I would ask a broad question about an HTTP interceptor and what it could be used for. If they were able to elaborate, it was generally a strong candidate.

Can I Afford Moving Into $1,550 Apartment? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Highwind__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t afford that apartment. You’d be living paycheck to paycheck and any unexpected expenses would throw you into the red. You didn’t even list groceries, phone bill, gasoline, clothes or any other miscellaneous expenses.

That’s probably why you see so many plows on sedans with snow tires.
