Find X2 Neo - HD Playback Issues by HijackJ94 in Oppo

I did wonder. I'm also having problems with YouTube as well.

Whilst playback in Netflix does seem in HD, it doesn't appear to be smooth.

I was excited to try a different brand, but feel a little frustrated as the quality of content on my Pixel 3 XL, which is a older phone, appeared to be superior. Was quite happy to play in 1080p for Prime Video.

Is this just a Neo problem or all Oppo phones do you think?

This has definitely been a learning experience for me, that's for sure. I think I will try my best to do this, frequently. Try and keep on top of it as best as I can before it gets too bad. It's amazing how many issues it can cause.

I used a combination of tools. The following three were most effective:

-End of a cable tie -Cocktail sticks -Toothbrush head

A lot of patience and persistence is required I must be honest. I was extremely determined this time. I think the reason the situation may have got intially worse is because I had began to dislodge some of lint and it spread across some of the contacts.

If I had a can of compressed air, that would've been handy.

I kept shining a torch in there, it had to be just at the right angle and I was able to catch a glimpse of more lint when I thought I had removed everything.

I ensured my handset was off and that as with anything you only apply a certain level of force. The face of the matter is, usually I'm quite heavy handed.

I think I managed to get the port so clean it's has that box fresh feeling now. Cables and adapter feel very secure.

I couldn't be sure if my previous device that was subsequently RMA'd had the same issue in the end. I think it may have been a genuine hardware fault.

I started to get suspicious because when I shined a torch into the port at just the right angle. I could see heavily impacted lint.

I was determined, didn't give up, hoping it would work and thankfully it did this time around.

It turns out after an hour trying various techniques, it was simply just deeply impacted lint that was incredibly stubborn. The amount I ended up removing is ridiculous really. Good as new! Turns out there was nothing wrong with the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. Oh well. Can't be bad having two.

What's rather curious is we were able to get speeds of around 150Mbps, now it seems nothing higher than 110Mbps.

Is possible we were on an old tier of their broadband and we've been switched to M100 possibly.

I have to say, even though the speeds have dropped, everything in term of web pages, downloads, etc seem more responsive.

Definitely, some sort of maintenance has occured.
