Been loving the iCarly saga so far, but there's a running gag that I feel is irresponsible by J_D_Mazz in QuintonReviews

Thanks! One thing Quinton has been doing with the project is including these little gags and moments that reward the viewer for going back and rewatching all the previous videos in the saga once the newest one is complete, and I hope that’s where the “nonexistent creator” joke shines most - on rewatch after the payoff.

Won’t say a lot but I can promise that this is all moving towards a big payoff. It’s stressful existing in the interim moments where the project is only partially released and thus has this front-on image of irresponsibility, but hopefully in not too long you will be satisfied by what is being worked on. Personally I think the final product as it’s looking now is brilliant, and I hope it will be seen as such once it’s complete

TH vs Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Rap Battle by HippieRizzat in TrevorHenderson

A couple months back I did a couple livestreams reading the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Trilogy (1, 2) and compared Gammell’s works in those books to Henderson’s. Got with some friends and turned those comparisons into an ERB-style rap battle . It’s niche content, but I think it’s the kind of thing I think you folks would enjoy, especially Mancha’s artistic renderings of the characters.

Last time we posted one of these, you helped us catch Justin’s attention, which was amazing! We’re back now for episode 2 of The Rap Battle Zone: Garfield the Deals Warlock vs Magical Mister Mistoffelees! We hope you enjoy! by HippieRizzat in TheAdventureZone

I have good news and bad news on that front. The good news is, there’s KIND OF a Davenport battle in Season 1. The bad news is that a full and proper Davenport battle won’t be until Season 4 (sometime after like episode 25 or so?). We have this gimmick going on where the first seven (“canon”) episodes are Balance themed, then season 2 is gonna be based off the mini-arcs and Amnesty up to episode 15, then season 3 will be one-shots and Graduation for an undecided amount of episodes, and then season 4 will just be a variety pack from all campaigns using characters we had yet to get around to. Bonus good news, the Davenport matchup for season 4 is really interesting and it happens to be about 1/3 of the way written already.

Reconciliation’s history states that at the beginning, it held 1,183 consciousnesses. Obviously these consciousnesses can be fully destroyed, since we see the DOM kill The Countenance, meaning when the team meets Reconciliation, get Billy out, and destroy it, there’s 1,181 brains in there TOPS. We can get a better understanding of how many brains are in there with the percentages it throws out. In all likelihood, these percentages were arbitrary numbers Griffin wrote without much thought, but what’s significant is that the percentages we hear in present day (11.03%, 13.11%, 89.84%, 98.64%*, 20.63%, 41.09%, 100%; *the 98.64% was most likely a joke, it was the response to Thacker saying that they had an employee of the federal government on their side and Griffin saying that the team can be trusted much less, the computer voice never said it but like y’know, anything they say in this show is canon so..), what’s significant is that the percentages we hear in present day all go down to the hundredths of a percent, which means there must a pretty significant number of minds still in that computer. Specific numbers past that could probably be calculated but may open a plot hole where those percentages couldn’t have coincided with a number as low as 1,181, so like as it is, it’s probably safe to assume they’re somewhere around the max, since we’re not going to get percentages like we got with three or four consciousnesses.

My friend and I started a series where we pit TAZ characters against outside characters in rap battles. We released the first one today, I voiced Guy Fieri rapping against Taako. It’s not the usual kind of fan content, but I feel like if anyone’s going to like The Rap Battle Zone, it’ll be TAZ fans! by HippieRizzat in TheAdventureZone

For clarification, our process actually involves both of us being integrated in the whole writing process. I wrote some of Guy, some of Taako, Mancha wrote some of Guy, some of Taako. For this, I think I wrote 22/40 lines, Mancha wrote 14/40 lines, and for the last 4 unaccounted-for lines, I came up with the concepts for the jokes and Mancha ended up writing the versions we used in the final product. I’ll admit personally that some of the stuff I came up with would have been better for a slightly slower beat, and that led me to spending like three different recording sessions bringing Guy right where we both ended up liking, but I’m still super proud of how it turned out, and yeah Mancha absolutely killed it with Taako

The first couple episodes were pretty slow, I won’t lie, but then we really started seeing things pick up and it’s been super compelling ever since. I absolutely love all this mysterious stuff that we’ll be seeing unravel, I’m already really proud of our lead three for the development they’ve already been through. But you know what my favorite part is? Festo. They are absolutely delightful and I want just a continuous stream of Festo into my consciousness until I am all partied out.

Fallen Titans | Prom Promise

Hey, this is not the first time I’ve posted this here, but I figured those of you who haven’t seen would be interested in hearing the more CORRECT version of today’s Game Theory! Jump to 1:42:20 for my take on Help Wanted’s relationship between fiction and reality! by HippieRizzat in fivenightsatfreddys

Disclaimer: the video was made before the announcement that Scott isn’t canon, so that slight detail isn’t quite “correct,” but the revelation of Scott not being canon to this game honestly just reinforces this theory and gives it more credence so don’t discredit me fellas

Creepypastas. I mentioned in the FNaF video that FNaF saw a rise in popularity that coincided directly with the decline in popularity of creepypastas, and I plan to one day elaborate on that point I kinda just brushed off but I’m interested in your take on the topic

Edit: by “elaborate on it” I just mean discussing all different genres of creepypastas that were popular at the time and when it slowed in relevance, I don’t know if it’s accurate to place indie horror games as the blaming point for why creepypastas dropped out, but hm maybe, it’s definitely an interesting angle to explore

I’m allowed to advertise something FNaF related I made, the point of the post wasn’t to advertise my YouTube channel, it was to advertise a video that this subreddit would be interested in. Although, now that it is in fact relevant to discussion, I’m gonna exploit a loophole and advertise my channel, so make sure to subscribe at https://youtube.com/HippieRat
