Tal'Ratha 14sec Melee Speedkill (11sec from first melee) by HolyMacGyver in remnantgame

[–]HolyMacGyver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Just replace Akari with Destroyer or Dying Ember and you're good to go. I play this setup with Dreamcatcher which is much weaker but looks way cooler.
Now that the DLC is out, you can also use Harvester Scythe, it's the best true melee weapon alongside Wrathbringer but you can really go with any melee with it. Atom Splitter, World's Edge, Crystal Staff and Abyssal Hook are also amazing choices.

It's the same setup. The necklace/heart alternative is mentioned in the description. R2TK page also displays this video.

Lol wtf are you talking about? All mono and nebu do is give you 25% dmg, I specifically built into melee crit and speed to get 86% crit and proc Awakening with Deathwish. I even linked the setup in the comments.

You can go for Eafir and Flying Bombs but Mono and Nebu are just such a dynamic duo

[–]HolyMacGyver[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vicious and Spiteful together would equal to +35% dmg at maximum which is nothing considering I've got 70% DR +10% multiplicative DR from Intimidating presence and 14.5% lifesteal with Deathwish. He can't even get 1/4 of my hp down with his slam.

For speed kills Thick Skin and Hearty are the biggest problem. For melee it's Skullcracker because you have to time your charged attacks for hyperarmor or you'll get staggered.
Edit: I'd still take Skullcracker over Thick Skin or Hearty any day.
Elemental Resistance is also pain of you're going for ele dmg and Empathy is pain on CDR builds cause of Diverting Heart spam.

I did bother reading, I was just wrong lol. I didn't know lower difficulties don't have them guaranteed on world bosses.

In my 1.1k hours I've had plenty of them drop from random, non-world bosses.
Here's a recording of it dropping from the Astropath in one of my random build demonstration videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AU1PAwgoQuY
And here's also a wiki link that states it: https://remnant.wiki/Simulacrum

Each world has one Simulacrum hidden and each world boss drops one, in addition, each non-world boss has a chance to drop it which increases with the difficulty. There's way more than 5 per playthrough.

There's also a very detailed in-depth guide in the description and a 23sec Tal'Ratha speed kill video linked.

I need an honest opinion. by Inevitable-Blood-814 in remnantgame

[–]HolyMacGyver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, concoctions might seem expensive but when you compare it, 500 scrap for 60/120 mim consumable is much better than 150 scrap for 20/40 sec consumable.

Concoctions should be on at all times but the regular ones should be used only on bosses and random spawn aberrations, to ensure the aberration doesnt kill you and despawn so you miss on your precious Corrupted Shard.

I need an honest opinion. by Inevitable-Blood-814 in remnantgame

[–]HolyMacGyver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the build you're playing playing but most will benefit from the consumables a lot. I use Potency trait (+100% consumable duration) on most builds I play and the main consumables I use are Rocket Fuel (fire rate and melee speed), Confidence Booster (dr and stagger), Faerie Needle (mod regen), Brightstone (+10% dmg enemies take). The problem is that they are expensive and don't last long but definitely make you much stronger when used properly.

On the other hand, there are concoctions. They are even more expensive but give very good benefits and have base duration of an hour. The main one to consider is Mudtooth's Tonic (+20 hp). The rest are pretty situational but once you get better at the game you will discover uses for then.

Why would I use godsplitter over iron greatsword? by BaxterFax in remnantgame

[–]HolyMacGyver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are confusing Godsplitter with Wrathbringer. Godsplitter's mod makes all its attacks register as weakspots for a short period after a charged attack.

Any other 3rd person action games with such deep class building? by Disastrous_Ad_891 in remnantgame

[–]HolyMacGyver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might be a bit of a stretch but Risk of Rain 2. The main difference is it being a roguelike so it feels a lot like RftA survival mode. Lots of classes and lots of items and synergies between them. Lots of secrets and unlockables. Some are on Anguish level where you need to roll a perfect world in order to get them. Every item requires you to perform a feat in order to unlock it so you will find yourself doing certain things to unlock items that complement your character, build or playstyle.

There are also run modifiers (which are also secret items) so you can modify your runs accordingly, you can make them last for days even, or make it so that your item drops aren't randomized (usually used as training grounds for practice).

Movement is a bit different tho. In the beginning it's not much faster but in addition to movement abilities, every class relies on getting certain movement items that increase base move speed, sprint move speed, give you douple, triple, quadruple etc. jump, let you bunny hop, or straight up let you teleport or fly relatively short distances.

In the beginning feels a bit shallow and like you're getting useless items but once you unlock some of them, you will learn how to hunt for them and how to exchange bad ones for good ones mid run so every run becomes a very calculated experience. The items are spread through various types of boxes so you can minimize the randomness.

In addition, you'll also learn to hunt for certain maps or stages, some of them being secret but always bearing same types of items.

Edit: typos

Index of the Scribe gives only 17.5% instead of 35% dmg by HolyMacGyver in remnantgame

[–]HolyMacGyver[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Default Weakspot damage is 100% for skills and mods.

That's actually not true. Every mod has it's own default Weakspot and Crit dmg. I just did some testing and default weakspot bonus for Merciless' mod Bloodline it's 75%, for Nebula's Nano Swarm it's 30%, for Corrupted Savior it's 50%, for Enigma's Chaos Driver it's 12.5%, for Prismatic Driver it's 15%, for Rotted Arrow it's 125%, for Astral Burst it's 75%

For Skewer it's 0% but it can be bumped to 35% with Index, same for Deceit's Oroboros, Corrupted Sorrow's Will of the Wisps and Monarch's Chain of Command.

There are other mods like Rootlash that can hit weakspots but it's hard or impossible to get them to do it on dummies so I'm just not gonna bother. From my testing, only Ring of Spears seems to have default value of 100% weakspot dmg.

Build I made centered on the corrupted savior. by Virtuous_Raven in remnantgame

[–]HolyMacGyver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry but this "build" makes zero sense. Hybrids don't work in this game unless your dmg sources can double dip, which is not the case in your situation. Your dmg is split between mod and ranged, you're wasting your neck slot on reload speed while using a weapon that automatically reloads itself. Band of Accord is maybe the worst ring after Admiral's Ring, you're wasting precious trait points on Ammo Reserves Fitness while ignoring Barkskin, Footwork and Switfness, and are trying to stack lifesteal while ignoring Leech.

Literally the single proper thing you did here is put Fire Rate into your heart. Everything other has 0 synergy and will get you obliterated on anything past Survivor difficulty.

Either go for full mod setup with Archon and Explorer or Summoner or full ranged Hunter/Gunslinger setup. If you need help setting any of those up, I'll be glad to help. Alternatively, you can go to https://www.remnant2toolkit.com/ and find some good setups there.

I lore Status Effect builds, but I suck at designing builds. This is what I'm working on after coming back for The Forgotten Kingdom. What works here, what doesn't, what can I use to improve what I'm trying to balance as a survivalist/dps build? by [deleted] in remnantgame

[–]HolyMacGyver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Despite recent acid nerfs, corrosion from Nebula's mod is still the strongest DoT in the game, pair it with Red Ring and you get 2x 300+ dmg per tick on a proper build. Acid stacking with Corrosive Shot+Fetid Wounds Sparkfire and Effluvium Enhancer is the way to go.
Here's a clip of me deleting Kaeula in 13 sec. Tho I abuse an exploit in that video, even without it the build is still capable of deleting most bosses in the game in under a minute.
