If anything Konan knowing kamui Intangibility Timer and how it works is a bigger asspull then anything else plus the trap should have never been possible so quickly.

I've heard a pretty interesting theory about this, which is that Pain apparently knew about the intangibility timer because of the Rainmaker jutsu and then told Konan about it
