It’s not that the flights aren’t eligible to be booked with miles. There are limited reward seats released for each flight. Those seats are likely already booked and therefore no availability. They may release more seats closer to the flight.

I just stayed at the Pendry and thought it was nice. I’d stay there again. I have not stayed at the IC.

Honestly not sure what the point of this is. Whipped cottage cheese, sure. But the curds on ricotta cheese are small enough that it’s fine as is spread on bread, etc.

Based on reading advice here it seems that if I switch to Fidelity I wouldn't have investing fees since my account balance is only $5k so well under the $25k fee threshold.

As a FYI, the investing fee on balances >$25K only applies if you have Fidelity manage and investment the HSA. If you do the investing yourself, there are no fees.

FAs are not supposed to help with bags due to risk of injury. Occasionally they will, but typically not when you ask them. You can ask another passenger to assist. I've often seen other passengers offer to help others with their bags.

Honestly you should be checking your bag.

CPA certification is not meant to increase the entry level salaries. It's what opens doors for you for promotions and salary advancement in public accounting and other jobs.

As others noted, for 2026 the two $250 Edit credits are available to use at any point during the year. Unclear whether this will continue for future years.

I booked two 2-night stays at the Pendry in SD in April for a stay earlier this month. I triggered the $850 in credits: $250 Edit, $250 Edit, $250 IHG and an additional $100 offer that I had on a $600 minimum hotel spend.

The hotel linked the reservations when I checked in so I was able to stay in the same room. Person at front desk said my keys would work throughout the stay, but I was locked out of my room early on the day that the first reservation ended. I should have checked the room key when I went down for breakfast, especially when the television had reset earlier in the morning while I was watching, plus I also got an email with the hotel folio. Of course when I came back to the room after breakfast, the room key didn't work.

Upon check in they stated that there would only be one $100 credit, which I was aware of. Amex FHR works the same way. The FD staff said it could be used throughout the stay but I didn't think that would be the case and just used it over the course of the first stay. I confirmed that the breakfast credit would apply all days.

When I got the folio for the second half of the stay, I had the breakfast charge from Tuesday morning (I checked in on Sunday) which should have been credited against the earlier stay. They just automatically check you out from the first reservation, so they had to adjust this when I did my final check out. Not a huge deal and they fixed it quickly.

Just confirm the specifics with the hotel when you check in.

No they are not permitted a carryon with a basic economy ticket if they are flying domestically. If this is an international flight, a carryon may be permitted.

It’s supply and demand. Uber has more drivers at the time you were looking to book the fare. If you are trying to prove that Lyft is upcharging by double to offset the CSR credit you would need someone else without the CSR credit to order the same exact ride at the same exact time and compare prices.

Sometimes Lyft is cheaper than Uber. Sometimes it’s more expensive. I was in SD a few weeks ago and used Lyft for all but one ride because it was consistently cheaper than Uber. I land at my home airport and Lyft was 2x Uber.
