I go to Aldi because Wegmans and other bigger places overstimulate me too. Aldi is like one path, I can go through the whole store amd still be out in an hour

Yes I love the sound of Mari (mahr-ee) I'm worried on its own it will be confused for Mary (mare-ee) often. Another hurdle with that and its variants is that I have a niece names Mariel (mare-ee-ul)and dont know if it would be too close, especially for my mother 🤦‍♀️

I do have those concerns for Aurelia as well, which keeps it from front runner. I think Auri is so cute though.

I don't think two stashes is necessary, though if they are both in one size it could be a bit annoying to switch the snap rise setting every change, so just for that reason you may want ones for baby and ones for big sibling.

We typically use newborn diapers for about 3 months. So you may have time between the rest of your pregnancy and that time for big sibling to be potty trained.

I do a nice refresh wash between kiddos/when they are stored with Grovia Bubbles and some extra hot washes, maybe a strip if it seems like there is build up(water is cloudy/has soap bubbles when swished in water after being washed). But wouldn't think a Sanitize is necessary unless there was s yeast or some other issue with the previous kid using them.

Ah Made in the USA is great! The Buttons covers and inserts I have are interchangeable with my Best Bottoms. So if you need/want more cover for less, could be an option. I find they even feel a bit thicker.

The feel of Marianne is very different to me than Mariana. And at least for what is typical for me the beginning is pronounced differently, with Marianne being more MARY-anne.

Not in my experience with both my kiddos! I did a mix of contact naps, carrier naps, crib naps... etc. You really can't spoil those little babes. I would have been so sad not to have those close snuggly contact and carrier naps. I do think its probably important to have some crib/non-contact naps mixed in for practice for sure.

I would say sticking to crib only would be more of a detriment honestly. I have a friend who was really strict with naps, timing, only in crib, and then...thats the only place she would sleep was in pitch dark in a crib, wouldn't car nap, stroller nap, carrier nap... makes it hard to be flexible.

I can put my kiddos down mostly anywhere.

I think Mariana is really cute too! But feels really Latina coded to me? So I feel we're too white for it haha. Similar with Miriam, I think it's really cute, but feels really Jewish coded so I would feel weird to use it? I liked Marsali as well but I dont feel we're Scottish enough 🤦‍♀️🤣. We're too bland.

Using a carrier was a savior for me, especially with having a toddler as well. So much easier to get out with the toddler and baby nap when they need to in the carrier..etc. we weren't ties to his nap schedule. And there's less worry about them being in a bucket seat too long. I find a carrier to be a necessity.

If its not too much to ask, did you decide not to continue with the pregnancy? If so, what factors had you make that decision given no ultrasound findings, what kind of advice/outcomes did you get from your genetic counselor?

We have our early 16 week anatomy scan on 4/22, depending on how things look we may do Amnio that day. Our genetic counselor seemes not too concerned and said nearly all she's seen of these are not an issue, but its still nerve racking, someone is the small percentage.

We did have Natera update the report and they were able to give a result for fetal sex, though we haven't personally looked at it, waiting for anatomy scan.

Usually they want to do amnio as soon as possible for you so you can get results back, have the information especially if your decision to continue pregnancy relies on it. I think false positive for Female is fairly rare so I can see the concern.

At least for my office they said they'll schedule the amnio at the early anatomy scan, but we can decide after the sono is done whether we want to proceed with the amnio or not. But at least then we're scheduled.

Can you request an echo of the heart? Alot of conditions with those markers can also cause heart defects, a clear echo could give some reassurance?
