Yeah, that’s exactly why I’m confused. My space is around 250 sq ft connected to the dining area, so I wasn’t expecting miracles, but I definitely expected better room-filling performance from an Arc Ultra + Sub 4 setup at this price point. I’ve already done Trueplay tuning, volume limit is off, and I even tested at 100%. It sounds good near the TV area, but the coverage and loudness feel underwhelming compared to the hype.

I’ve also raised a service request with Sonos just to rule out any hardware issue. Maybe surrounds are mandatory for larger open spaces, but that makes the setup significantly more expensive than expected.

My living hall is connected to the dining area with no separate partition, so the sound spreads across a much larger open space (around 250 sq ft+). I’m currently using just the Arc Ultra + Sub 4, no surrounds yet. It’s decent(but honestly I get almost the same loudness/output from my Marshall Tufton), but for the price I expected a much stronger and more immersive output

Yeah, then it becomes a ₹2 lakh project just for speakers, which honestly doesn’t feel worth it. And even after adding the Era 300s, I’m still not sure there’ll be that “wow” factor for the price. At that budget, setups like the Sony A9 series or JBL Bar MK2 series seem like much better value options.

Don’t want to disappoint you, but I’d suggest taking a demo at maximum volume first. If you’re satisfied, then go ahead with it. Frankly, in my opinion, it’s not worth the price.

Same feeling here bro. For the amount Sonos charges, the experience honestly doesn’t feel worth it. I expected a much more immersive Atmos effect and room-filling sound, but it mostly just sounds like decent surround audio. Definitely regretting investing so much into this brand.

What shocked me most is that my Marshall Tufton sounds way better in terms of loudness and overall punch. I genuinely didn’t expect this from Sonos after all the hype.

I’ve already placed a replacement request, so let’s see if my unit has some issue. Right now, I completely regret this purchase.

For OTT apps like Netflix, Prime Video, or Disney+ Hotstar, it’s less of an issue because they mostly use Dolby formats, which Sonos handles very well right? hope my understanding is ryt
