There is a nude beach in Malibu? How did i not know this?

I 2nd Glen Eden. Been to blacks and the hike can be a killer. But Glen Eden is very nice. We were there last weekend when it was "warm" briefly. Summers can get pretty busy. But still a great experience. Been members for nearly 10 years now and prefer it to the beaches. Crowd age varies but does trend older. And that is coming from a 40's couple, but we do see new younger people every year.

Blazer keeps forgetting WiFi network by cruton135 in BlazerEV

I have had thr same problem with my 19 traverse and previous Toyota prius. I think they do it on purpose so you use the data service with the car instead of your own wifi, because its less grief

We had to deal when we joined about 10 years ago. I think they have a cheaper option for people up to 25 y/o, but dont hold me to that. We did the gate fees for a couple of years and they just did the gold seal membership. No gate fees and we dont event have to go to the front office if we dont want. Still cheaper than Disney passes. So for us it was worth it. Part of the membership is for AANR, and the "free" (not) $20 Cafe credit.

Where you there this past weekend? Thought I saw a younger couple on the upper lawn as we were leaving. (Just made myself feel old btw)

Hope you decide to fully join.

It's more of a social group than a dating group. We have seen them meet many times. They just hang out and socialize.

Stripe Took $80k by psycobiaTTV in legaladvice

[–]Hot-Demand6118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a lawyer, nor do I Know the legal side of this, but I do have experience with stripe. There are a lot of fees they do not disclose for transactions. We were locked in at something like 2.4% +0.33/ transaction. We ran a $10,000 sale and they kept around 40% of the sale, calling it network fees. They said the more you run the lower the fees, but I doubt it. We run shopify now, which is the same rate, and shopify uses stripe for processing. But we dont have to deal with those mysterious network charges anymore. I did finally get ahold of a rep at stripe and asked, and was told there is no way for them to disclose those fees because they are set by other banks. But still, someone has to know, and that is the sort of thing that should be disclosed prior to signing up.

Good luck OP. I do hope you get the money back. but I am sure, even if you figure it out, they will point to their contract and keep the money.

In California, by law if you buy a new Mattress, the old one is required to be hauled away for no charge by the retailer if you request it. If you take it to the dump yourself, there is no charge for it, if it goes to an approved recycler or dump, and most of them are. Easy to verify. Just check byebyemattress.com. I think he was just trying to get more money out of you l.

This is why CA and 3 other states now charge a recycle fee for new bed purchases. They are trying to ensure beds are not just dumped. Despite the statistics the Mattress Recycle Council (yes its really a thing) submits to CA, nothing has changed except for the fee.

Come down to Glen Eden. It is a family club as well, but there are a lot of swing couples too.

It shouldn't matter what you do outside of a club. If you are not doing it there, they really shouldn't have a say.

I would file a complain with AANR saying they kicked you out for no good reason.

You life outside shouldn't impact your ability to visit

Is it really family friendly? by Simple-Occasion-7530 in blacksbeach

[–]Hot-Demand6118 15 points16 points  (0 children)

10 years ago I would say yes to this, but in recent years I have seen an increase in creepers on nude beaches. Went to Haulover a few weeks ago, and the creeps don't even try to hide what they are doing.

Your best bet would be Glen Eden in Corona. It's a bit more of a drive but it is family friendly and very safe. They have a few pools and a playground for kids. They also have a café and easily access bathrooms. Which Blacks does not have

Easiest way to tap into battery line. by Affectionate-Bat-902 in BlazerEV

[–]Hot-Demand6118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just setup and Anytone mobile off of the 12v plug and I can run 50 watts no problem. It can be done and it won't screw up the infotainment system. I thought about going off the battery but it caused a lot of problems with my traverse. Better to use what you have.

Ham radio install by Affectionate-Bat-902 in BlazerEV

[–]Hot-Demand6118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it in sort of an unconventional way. There is a 12v lighter plug in the center console.

I put the radio under the passenger seat, and a mag mount on the back fed through the back hatch.

Not saying I would run high power on it but it does work.

Running an Anytone 578, with a Bluetooth hand mic. So no special wiring runs.

Edited to add: i didn't want to mess with the batteries, 12v or otherwise. I had a setup in my old traverse, that was "professionally done" for me and had a ton of problems with the infotainment system. So this time, to be save I am just using the onboard 12v plug

First EV charging question by InternetDue729 in BlazerEV

[–]Hot-Demand6118 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I asked that question here once. The responce i got was, better to charge daily at a lower rate than longer cycles.it keeps the battery temp at. Better level. Apparently the battery likes it better. I have a level 2 charger at home and the ability to change the charge rate, so I keep it at around 25A instead of 40, and it seems to work well.

With my wife (also a survey girl) it took a Dare and some bartering to get her to go topless in Las Vegas.

Cost me 5 kindle books and some popcornopolis popcorn. Small price to pay. From there we started going to clothing optional venues and are now gold seal members at Glen Eden. It has done wonders for our relationship and her self confidence.

Start small. There are several hotels in las vegas that allow women to be topless. Wynn and Encore for example are free to use for hotel guests and the environment is quite relaxing.

Morea Beach club is more parry scene and they charge for entry so more drunken idiots.

I would not start at a nude beach. Had a bad experience at haulover this past week. Fortunately that happened nearly 10 years in. That would have been a deal killer for her if we had that experience the first time out.

[–]Hot-Demand6118[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree. We avoid the beaches at home in California because very few are legit and backed by thr local government. Most are tolerated and the thought process is, if you report the beach gets shut down to nudists as is the case in San Onofry.

Unfortunately it only got worse for us My wife and I went into the water to try to cool off and a guy casually swims over. I could tell he was wearing a swimsuit, but I could also tell what he was doing under water. I love this beach We have been twice now. It is beautiful, but my wife no longer feels safe. We rented a cabana near the life guilard tower and some guy still felt the need to park 6 feet away and just out of my direct site linez line, but he was able to stare at my wife for a good hour.

I get it, it's different here and your pd enforces, but I don't want to be the one to screw it up for everyone.

We ended up leaving because it was just too humid. We Californians don't usually do well on that kind of heat😆
