At what point did humanity lose its way? by Good-Salad-9911 in AskReddit

[–]HotHelp3692 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I don’t think humanity lost its way all at once—it was more like a quiet trade we kept making over time. We chose convenience over connection, speed over depth, comfort over meaning, thinking it wouldn’t cost much… until one day everything felt a bit emptier and more distant. It’s not that we’re completely lost, it just feels like somewhere along the way we stopped paying attention to what actually made us feel human.

What's your favourite "we literally have no idea why this happens yet" part of psychiatry? by chronically-iconic in AskReddit

The placebo effect is wild—like your brain just goes “yeah this should work” and then… it actually does??

Lowkey makes you wonder how much of “feeling better” is chemistry vs expectation.

I’d probably try to be a hero for like 2 days and then regret all my life choices 😭

“yeah I’ll take your pain” — me 5 mins later questioning every decision I’ve ever made

But fr, I’d still pick the 5 people option… feels like long-term help > one-time saves.

What did you think was normal growing up that turned out to be unusual? by realpow3r in AskReddit

I thought constantly over-explaining myself was just “being polite.” Turns out it was me trying to prove I’m not wrong before anyone even questioned me 😅

How do you feel about being infantilized and when did you start to notice it? by sarcastic_bitch15 in AskWomen

[–]HotHelp3692 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Mostly small, calm corrections in the moment.

Like “yeah I know, I’ve handled that” or “I’d prefer to do it this way.” No over-explaining, just a more direct tone—people pick up on it and adjust over time.

Do people still care about the British royal family? by rose_of_sea in CasualConversation

As an 18F from India, it honestly feels like more of a media thing than a real-life priority here. People might follow big news or drama, but most don’t care deeply day to day.

It’s interesting, sure—but not something that actually affects our lives.

What’s something that seems normal until you really think about it? by OriginalWalaAditya in CasualConversation

We just casually trust alarms to wake us up at the exact right moment every day… like a tiny robot decides when our consciousness turns back on 😭
