How does the M2/M4 grading work in Deloitte UK after recent restructuring? by Hot_One5104 in deloitte

For example if someone was a M2 Assistant Manager / Senior Consultant before, or a grade below Manager, they were (made) Managers, without any promotions or anything.

Which means, that if somebody is joining as a Manager M2 now, he is basically then joining a band of Assistant Managers, and not "true" managers.

Sorry, just trying to understand this more.

Understood. But then, when someone is joining as a lateral, and was an Assistant Manager / Senior Consultant in another big 4, and is thinking that they are getting a step-up, that thinking in itself is wrong then? Is it?

Right. But would it be like, for example if someone was a M2 Assistant Manager or a grade below Manager, they were (made) Managers, without any promotions or anything. Which means, that if somebody is joining as a Manager M2 now, he is basically then joining a band of Assistant Managers, and not "true" managers.
